>> Host: Good evening everyone and welcome to our Thursday night product training with Isagenix. It’s a pleasure to have you with us tonight. We have Dr. Dennis Harper with us. He is an amazing gentleman. He will be talking about the Cleanse for Life. What an amazing product it is. And, of course, go through all of the uses, the benefits and all of the information to make sure that as you’re working with your individuals in your teams that you’re coaching them through a proper cleanse away whether it’s daily, moderate, or deep cleansing.
So with that being said I’d love to introduce Dr. Harper to everybody. He has been in general medical practice for nearly 25 years with about 20 of that being devoted to the practice of complementary medicine. He was one of three people that spoke to Senator Hatch and got the DSHEA Act started which was an act that saved the health food industry from being over regulated by the FDA. So that was a big one. He was student body president of his medical school. He was also a voting member of the American Osteopathic Association. He was president of Physicians for the Osteopathic Association as well. And he sat on the licensing board for the State of Utah for about four years and was chairman of that licensing board as well for a few years there.
He found Isagenix almost in the very very beginning, I think in ‘02. And was a very very skeptic. But what I can tell you is that based on his own experience with the products he’s had an amazing time being a part of this company supporting all of us out in the field as well as his patients in and his practice. So with that being said, good evening, Dr. Harper and welcome to the call.
>> Dr. Harper: Good evening and it’s good to be here.
>> Host: Good to have you. A pleasure having you and, of course you know sharing with everybody just a little bit about your involvement in Isagenix. Also I want to make mention too that Dr. Harper is the chairman of our Scientific Advisory Board with Isagenix. So, Dr. Harper, does it seem like it’s been nearly seven years that you’ve been involved in Isagenix?
>> Dr. Harper: No, it doesn’t. It seems like it’s gone by very quickly.
>> Host: Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Well, I’m excited to have you on and, of course, it’s all going to be about Cleanse for Life. Let’s just start off by talking about some of the amazing benefits to the Cleanse for Life product. This product is one of the key cornerstones of our nutritional line, the concept of cleansing. And it tastes amazing. Lets talk about — a little bit about the benefits of the Cleanse for Life based on its ingredients.
>> Dr. Harper: Well, obviously, it was designed by your dad to kind of give the body a rest. And this is a real important concept. Fasting. Now, were not just talking specifically about the cleanse right now, but fasting has been known to be around from hundreds to thousands of years for beneficial effects on the human body. Lately, in the last seven years we’ve done studies showing that if people fast for 24 hours, their human growth hormone levels go up. If they do it for 48 hours they go up. But if they go beyond that then they start to go down. And human growth hormone levels help you increase your muscle mass and increase your body’s capability of dealing with life. So we know that there’s some definite benefits there.
Now, going beyond that your father has then put together something that’s even more amazing and that is: Well, let’s give the body a rest but at the same time that’s give it lot of good healthy nutritionally dense products that it can take at the same time. And that’s what’s taken place with the cleanse. The cleanse has, obviously, it has the aloe vera in it which is a wonderful soothing herb that’s been used for thousands of years to help stomach problems. And it has some wonderful powers in regards to healing both inside as well as outside wounds. And sometimes when you’re dealing with your digestive system you can sometimes get cracks in it. So having something that will help heal your body is obviously very important in regards to putting inside.
The other things he’s looking at would be, well, some adaptogenic herbs that have been used in there. Those have been used for, well, they’ve been used for thousands of years. But the term adaptogenic herb was probably coined in the ’40s, I don’t remember which physician or which scientists it was that actually coined that term. But he coined it based upon the fact that it would do several things and that is it would help your body deal with stress, trauma, anxiety, and fatigue. And so that’s kind of the common classification of adaptogenic herbs today. They’re put in there to help your body deal with those. And, of course, in this day and age we all have a lot of that going on in our lives. So that’s another key — some key ingredients that were involved in there.
>> Host: Absolutely. Oh, go ahead.
>> Dr. Harper: Go ahead. What were you about to say?
>> Host: Well, I was just going to make a comment on those adaptogenic herbs, I mean, and you talking about what we deal with on a daily basis. And you know the amount of stress that an individual goes through. I mean life used to be quite simple. And because of today’s technology, cost of living, I mean, men and women, a married couple, I mean, the amount of stress that they go through supporting their family and even just commuting back and forth to work, unless you work at home doing Isagenix, and raising children.
I mean it’s all of these and now to have those adaptogenic herbs in there it’s so amazing. And then you were talking about you know there being cracks in the digestive system so to speak and to have all of the healing aspects of the cleanse I mean I’m just thinking of the aloe vera. And maybe we can spend just a couple of seconds talking about the aloe Vera because I mean this is such an amazing ingredient right in of itself. And I know that we have a very special source of aloe certainly not like what you would see at most health food stores. Do you want to talk about this for a second?
>> Dr. Harper: Well, yes. And this is one thing that I’ve been talking about for more than 10, 12, 15 years. That all supplements are not created equally. And unfortunately aloe vera, and this was something that was told to me by an aloe vera company that produced aloe vera. They said, you know, most aloe veras, and in fact I had a patient that used it grow his own aloe vera in the Caribbean, and he said, I went in to have my aloe vera analyzed. And when they talked to me I said, well, I’m just checking to see what, how much of the mucopolysaccharide component my aloe vera has. Because the mucopolysaccharide component is the part that is actually the healing part of the aloe vera. Well, these people then said, well, how high do you want it to be? And he said, I beg your pardon.
>> Host: Uh oh.
>> Dr. Harper: Exactly. It’s like, well, how high do you want that mucopolysaccharide component to be? And he said, well I guess I don’t understand. Well what we can do is we can just add a little bit of sugar to it and it will increase the amount of mucopolysaccharide that’s showing up on the test even though it’s a different, obviously, a different ingredient. But it will still elevate it so you can say, well you’ve got a very high level of mucopolysaccharide in it. So he was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a little better way of understanding how to find out what was good aloe vera.
The other problem is that they also told me that the FDA has actually kind of classified aloe vera as mostly water, so they don’t really care if you dilute it. And so I was told that you can dilute. You can add 99 gallons of water to 1 gallon of aloe vera and still call it pure aloe vera. Well, that means if I only added nine gallons of water to one gallon of aloe vera, I could actually call it a 10 to 1 concentration. Which is stupid.
>> Host: Oh, my gosh.
>> Dr. Harper: It boggles your mind sometimes as to what’s going on out there. But with the aloe vera that we have we actually do have a true concentrate and it’s also from a very very good source. And this is why you have to depend on somebody like your dad who’s been in the business for many many years and understands where you get quality ingredients.
>> Host: Yeah.
>> Dr. Harper: The quality is by far the main — I mean we could list a whole bunch of ingredients on any product, but just listing them doesn’t mean anything. You actually have to have them in there. And you have to have them with sufficient qualities where they actually do something. Because they have different grades in herbal products as well. In fact, I’ve seen some supplement companies that will use nothing but herbs that are about to go out of date because they’re so cheap.
>> Host: Oh, no.
>> Dr. Harper: Oh, yes. Because they’re so cheap. And it’s like, oh my gosh, what are you thinking? Well, what they’re thinking is: The bottom line. They just want to put something out that says that they have it in it and just to make money. Well, that’s just wrong. Your dad, on the other hand, does not do that. He looks for quality ingredients and that’s why it’s very important to have somebody that you can trust.
>> Host: Right. And I know that we have you know many different sources of one specific ingredient you know from all over the world. I mean I think that it’s really exciting to see you know the makeup of these products and, of course, that’s why they deliver such amazing results. It’s very very exciting. Now, you talked about you know the healing aspects. The adaptogenic herbs that helps our bodies cope and deal with emotional, physical, and mental stress. What else do we have going on in the Cleanse for Life as far as health benefits?
>> Dr. Harper: Well, we also have the yellow docks in there that’s certainly very helpful as far as keeping your bowels moving. Because obviously we don’t want anybody to not have good moving bowels. Another very important part of this and this is probably the most critical ingredient is the ionic alfalfa which means that it’s loaded with trace minerals and the trace minerals act as catalysts which speed reactions up in your body. So that particular ingredient is probably one of the most important because almost everybody is deficient in trace minerals. I mean that has been known for, gosh I don’t know, 80 years now. It’s just — or maybe 74 years, I can’t remember exactly. But the point is getting those trace minerals back into us is very very very important and fortunately with Isagenix all of the products have that particular ingredient in them. Because they realize that we’re all fairly deficient so it’s nice have those going into every single product that we take from Isagenix.
>> Host: Right. Well now let’s go into just a couple of different ways to be able to use the product. I mean obviously the company was founded upon the whole principle of the nine-day cleanse. You know two days of cleanse, five days of shakes, and then another two days of cleanse. You know where results are just outrageous results. Very very cool things happening in the body in a very short period of time. So let’s kind of break it down for our listeners tonight on you know doing a two-day cleanse versus a one-day cleanse versus everyday cleansing. So let’s start with two-day cleansing.
>> Dr. Harper: Well obviously, the two-day cleansing is my favorite because that’s what we had to start with and that’s what I used on almost all of my patients. It’s a very very rapid way of starting kind of jumpstarting your body towards being a healthier and cleaner body and certainly the weight loss that’s achieved in the nine-day is very very impressive as well which certainly gives people that are trying to lose weight and impetus to continue because there’s nothing worse than going on a diet and losing one pound a week or something and you go: Oh, boy. It’s just nothing to crow about. Whereas with this I mean I personally lost 15 pounds in nine days. So it gets your attention very very rapidly.
And more important than that it also seems to stimulate muscle mass. At least it did with me. It increased by muscle mass by three pounds over a five week period of time. Those are all very very important parts of developing a healthier body. They have discovered that just one pound of muscle will essential burn four pounds of fat during a year. And so obviously the more muscle you have the more calories you’re going to be consuming. So keeping your muscle mass at a higher level is one of the important parts of not only maintaining your weight but also maintaining a healthy body.
>> Host: Absolutely. So two day cleansing I love two day cleansing. I’ll never forget the first time that I actually did a two-day cleanse. And of course back in it was ‘03, January of 2003, the company had already been going for nine months and I couldn’t because I was still nursing our little infant baby at the time and so of course as soon as he was done doing that here we move on. And I had an amazing story of in nine days losing 11 pounds and 13 inches and I felt so good.
I remember my mom seeing me from behind and not actually realizing that it was me because my shape had changed so much. You know with my back and my bottom and my legs, everything. So it was a wonderful experience. And now of course since the beginning of the company we’ve transitioned where people have options. It’s not so strictly regimented on just them having to do a two-day cleanse. There’s one-day cleanses as well which is a moderate level of cleansing whereas the two-day is a deep cleanse and then of course now we have everyday cleansing where people are doing and having amazing results that way. So let’s talk about the moderate cleanse which is the one-day cleanse and then of course the everyday cleansing.
>> Dr. Harper: Well, the one-day cleanse, the moderate cleanse, came out because we had developed a 30-day program. And with the 30-day program we decided instead of having people do the rapid nine-day program where you have two days and then five days with shakes and then two days of cleansing again, to just do one day of cleansing a week which is still very beneficial to you but it seems to be a little more gentle for some people.
If there’s any concern they can certainly do a 30-day instead of the 9-day. The studies seems to indicate they get about the same result so that’s kind of nice but over a 30-day period of time instead a 9-day period of time. It certainly is a little easier to do moderate cleansing where you just pick one day of the week and say okay this is the day I’m cleansing. And a lot of people since that time have actually jumped on to the 30-day program because it just seems to be a little more convenient for them.
The daily cleansing is only been going on for, gosh, I don’t know, what am I thinking maybe 10, 12 months something like that where we first started looking at this because people started using it daily they started out with one ounce then they went to two ounces and then they’ve gotten to four ounces. And four ounces daily seems to be a fairly good way of maintaining some good ingredients going into your body. Now obviously you’re not going to get the same results from a moderate or daily cleanse that you get from the full two days of cleansing. But the point here is that it still does appear to be very beneficial.
Even with the daily cleansing. In fact, that’s one of the things that I’m using right now is the daily cleanse. I’m not replacing my two-day cleanse with it, but I am taking it daily on top of that. And so I find that I just seem to feel a little better. My body seems to do a little better when I’m taking it on a daily basis. So, yeah, now you have a lot of possibilities. You can do the deep cleansing for two days you can do the moderate cleansing for just one day a week or you can also start doing four ounces of cleansing daily.
>> Host: All right. So now let’s talk about some of the good habits to get into as you’re cleansing because it’s kind of funny my dad he jokes around about you know being on facebook and answering a lot of questions. He gets a lot of comments from people saying you know what they’re eating on their cleanse days. And so he kind of came out with this JA Way. Which is John Anderson Way of Cleansing and really setting out some guidelines and because people were eating pasta salads on their cleanse days and all kinds of crazy things. So what would be the proper way of actually moving through either a one or a two-day cleanse? What should they be consuming besides the Cleanse for Life concentrate?
>> Dr. Harper: Well obviously we’ve got two Cleanse for Lifes now. We’ve got the powder form which is certainly excellent, and we’ve got the concentrate as well. And they would be taking on the concentrate four ounces four times a day and lots of water. And the water is a very key ingredient here because we’re going to be flushing things out of the body. This is a time to give your digestive system a chance to rest. And so the only time anybody, as far as I’m concerned, anybody should ever add something to that other than obviously the Accelerator Capsules if they tolerate those is if they wanted to add some food the only reason I would be expecting a need to do that is if they became hypoglycemic and very very shaky. That would be the only time. Now sometimes diabetics will get that way because they’re taking too much medication and it’s driving their glucose levels down and so they have to eat something. But by and large most people should not need more food on those days.
On the two-day or the one-day cleanse. They just shouldn’t need it. I mean they may be a little hungry maybe but now if it’s to the point where they are passing out then of course they need to be using something. But if they’re going to be using something don’t use pasta salad. I mean that’s probably about the worst thing you could possibly use outside of maybe using a cup of sugar. But I would recommend maybe a hard-boiled egg because an egg is actually probably the very best food you could eat. It’s very very slowly metabolized. It’s got a lot of good fats and a lot of good proteins in there. And so that would be my suggestion if you have to have something along those lines. A handful of almonds perhaps as well but the point is you want to stay away from carbohydrates.
Those are just not a good idea unless you’re a diabetic who has gotten into insulin shock and then you want to have a simple sugar. Then you’re going to have to have some orange juice or a cup of sugar quite frankly to help bring those glucose levels up. But most people should not need to do it. I think people are getting into the habit of doing it because people told them it’s okay.
>> Host: Yeah.
>> Dr. Harper: And so when people are saying it’s okay then well they have permission. Bad idea. You’re not in a get the same results.
>> Host: Right.
>> Dr. Harper: So that’s the point here is, no, let’s follow the program. The program has a seven-year track record of major success. So why would you adulterate the program? It’s not a good idea.
>> Host: That’s right.
>> Dr. Harper: Stay clean with this program. Follow it very closely.
>> Host: Well and the snacks I mean just for clarification to you know I know that you are saying that you know if you absolutely have to have eat something you know have it be a hard-boiled egg. But those snacks I mean I remember being at an Isagenix University training products one time and I had everybody raise their hand if they have snacks collecting in their cupboards at home because they’re not using them on their cleanse days and it was like surprising how many people raised their hands. And you know we talked about the importance of those snacks. I mean they were designed to be utilized on your cleanse days. So I know six is the suggestion for a cleanse day. To have like two in between each cleanse drink. What if somebody wanted more than six you know like maybe eight I mean is it okay to kind of bump up your count just by a couple on those snacks?
>> Dr. Harper: Well, once again you’re looking at the same thing here. We have a proven track record of how well this program works. Could they have double the snacks? Of course. Could they eat the entire jar of snacks? You bet. But the point is, it’s you want to try to do what’s best. If you start increasing the amount of calories you’re taking on those days, then you’re going to get away from producing that human growth hormone level.
>> Host: Absolutely.
>> Dr. Harper: So that’s why we want to keep the carbs, not the carbs but the calories very low during these one or twp-day cleanses. and then if you do have to have something then use something that’s also a very low-calorie food. But just enough to get you through. That’s it. That’s the basics. Because if you start increasing it you’re going to turn down or turn off that human growth hormone.
>> Host: Yeah. I love I love the whole human growth hormone information because most people have no clue that even is actually taking place in the body when you’re on a cleanse. So let’s talk about the Natural Accelerators. You’re supposed to take two a day.
>> Dr. Harper: Right.
>> Host: And with the Natural Accelerators let’s also kind of included into this the Essentials for Men or the Essentials for Women antioxidants anything that’s on a daily basis that we normally consume that’s in capsulated form. You know what is your rule of thumb as far as taking your daily supplements. And you know especially the Natural Accelerators on your cleanse days?
>> Dr. Harper: Well, this goes back to you can certainly take them on those days. Some people or going to be a little more sensitive to just having nothing in their stomachs and just using the concentrated cleanse. Now obviously some people are taking it straight that’s the way I’ve been taking mine is just straight and then I follow up with water. Please don’t forget to water. The water is very important. If you’re going to be adding additional things obviously the accelerators would be the next one that I would add. Most people seem to tolerate the accelerators very nicely.
Apparently from what you’re telling me there has been are few that have not been able to tolerate it with the Cleans for Life drink. Obviously you have to listen to your body. That’s very important. If you can tolerate the Cleanse for Life drink and the accelerators and the men or women’s formula, perfect I don’t have a problem with that in the least. But the slim cakes? They’re not a good idea. Because once again that’s something that’s a lot more calories so. But your other supplements there I can’t see any reason why you couldn’t use those.
>> Host: Okay. Now going back to the everyday cleansing we’ve got people that are taking that cleanse right before bed on an empty stomach. Would you say that that is the absolute best way to consume the Cleanse for Life on a daily basis is at night on an empty stomach?
>> Dr. Harper: I’m not — not necessarily. Some of the ingredients actually do help you sleep in there which is interesting. But some of them also wake you up. So it would once again go back to what happens to your body when you take it. Similar to the Ionic Supreme. You see some people it wakes them right up and some people it puts them right to sleep and for some people it does both. But if you take the Cleanse for Life at night and it seems to help you and your body does very well with it, perfect. But if it doesn’t then try it in the morning.
>> Host: Okay. Now, regardless whether it’s in the morning or at night is an empty stomach the best just for the way that it goes into the body and is assimilated?
>> Dr. Harper: I’ve always done it on an empty stomach, yes. I think that’s always the best idea.
>> Host: All right. Okay. Good. Now let’s go into the new powder. The new powder Cleanse for Life that was just launched a couple of weeks ago at the annual celebration, it tastes phenomenal. People, because it tastes so good say and we’ve been hearing a lot of: Is this going to work the same? You know. And of course we a — the convenience factor with the new Cleanse for Life. It tastes amazing and the same number of servings in the new Cleanse for Life powder container as there is in the Cleanse for Life except it’s just in a powder form versus liquid. So let’s talk about some of the favorite things that you like about this new Cleanse for Life powder that’s now available. Actually, I should say it’s going to become available this month here in the next week to two weeks.
> Dr. Harper: Well, the nice thing is I travel a lot. And trying to travel with the Cleanse for Life drink is just almost impossible because you’re looking for refrigerators. You’re going to have to carry it with ice. You can’t take it on the airplanes. So it’s a major pain in the neck when you’re traveling. With the new Cleanse for Life powder it’s not a problem all of a sudden. It’s great. The other thing is it doesn’t have any, in the past we’ve had to use sodium benzoate as a preservative or we had to use potassium sorbate as a preservative because the FDA required that. We did use the least amount that we had to have but still when the FDA requires staff we have to include it. This way we no longer have to have either one of those associated with this particular product. So it has some really nice benefits. You don’t have to have refrigeration. You can travel with it easily. It’s in a small container and it doesn’t have any preservatives in it any longer. And some people I mean literally they’re just they’re licking their fingers and sticking it in there and just eating it. Not a good idea. I think you should still use it based upon our recommendations but they have done that just because it tastes so good. And you remember you remember what the first cleanse tasted like right?
>> Host: Oh, my gosh. Dennis, as a matter a fact, I’ve got to tell you during the first nine months of Isagenix, the original cleanse you know it was the berry it was natural berry. And then of course we added in the tropical paradise later on but when I finally got to cleanse it was the second generation cleanse that I actually got to use. And it was actually red in color for natural berry. My dad was using at the time to tint it he was using these, do you remember this, this African beetle that has in the wings of this African beetle they were intense red and they were actually using the coloring from those African beetle wings. And so of course this flavoring had been enhanced too but even from that the second generation cleanse on up to the third and the fourth generation as far as, and I’m talking generation meaning of the flavoring technology behind it. Yes.
>> Dr. Harper: What a change.
>> Host: Uh-huh.
>> Dr. Harper: What a huge change. I mean the very first one was almost, it was, you had to be committed. I mean you had to be, well, no, you had to be committed to do it because it wasn’t something that was: Oh boy. I can’t wait to get that. Oh, my heck now it’s like, sure. Any time, any place, anywhere I don’t mind. How much of it you want me to drink? Great. No problem. Because it does — has improved so much since those days. But still the whole point was if people are hurting they tend to do what they need to do anyway. And as doctor I have tasted worse things than that first cleanse. But it would still get your attention. But yeah.
>> Host: Yeah.
>> Dr. Harper: It’s changed dramatically and this new powdered form I think is absolutely amazing. And I’ve — and by the way they’ve done studies showing that it does exactly the same thing. I don’t necessarily believe in the studies or believe in somebody else’s studies so I did it on myself and I got the same result.
>> Host: Yeah. Yeah.
>> Dr. Harper: I am absolutely certain that it works just as well.
>> Host: Yeah. Yeah. That’s very cool. Well good. Well we’ve covered you know every-day cleansing, moderate cleansing, one-day cleansing, deep cleansing which is your two-day cleanse. We did talk about the powders. We talked about you know what to eat, what to not eat. And then, of course, let’s talk about water consumption. I think this will be our last and final point. Water consumption is a big deal when people are going through the cleansing process especially one or two-day cleansing they’re drinking you know four ounces of cleanse to eight ounces of water which is a 12-ounce drink four times a day. That’s a lot of fluid especially for someone who’s not normally used to drinking water as it is. So how important is it for people to be drinking on top of their cleanse drinks that good purified water?
>> Dr. Harper: It’s very important. Most of us tend to be dehydrated. In fact the older we get one of the first things that turns off is our thirst mechanism. We suddenly just are no longer thirsty. And that’s nature’s way of telling us politely that you’re superfluous now and so we’re going to start dehydrating you so we can get rid of you. And so it’s — we don’t always realize that we’re thirsty any longer. So drinking that water is absolutely critical because the cells, your whole body practically, I mean two-thirds of your body is water so as you start losing that water inside yourselves what happens is those cells can function as well. And so consequently they start getting gummed up as well and then you start having problems and symptoms associated with that and so then people are taking medications to take care of the symptoms and when the real problem is you’re simply dehydrated. So taking plenty of water is very important.
Now obviously can you take too much water? Sure. The idea here is: Don’t get carried away. I generally recommend a half a gallon of water a day. Some people will take half their body weight daily. If you’re really heavy, I’m not sure that’s a great idea. And at the same time if you’re really light, you may need to be taking a little bit more. So it’s — you just kind of have to listen to your body. But I do recommend a half a gallon of water daily. And clean water that’s very important.
>> Host: Sure.
>> Dr. Harper: Tap water, well waters are frequently contaminated so. I prefer reverse osmosis or distilled as mine. There is a good water out there that you can get it’s called Smart Water right now that’s probably the best that I’ve seen that’s commercially available. But it’s somewhat alkaline. It does have some mildly negative ions in it and it tastes fairly good so.
>> Host: It does. Smart Water is my favorite. And you know it’s funny because I have family members that kind of joke around: You think you’re just drinking good-quality water with the Smart Water you know and you know bottled water is bottled water. And it’s not I mean there is science behind water.
>> Dr. Harper: Most people don’t realize it. Yeah.
>> Host: Yeah. They don’t. They don’t realize. And I know that you looked up and researched that and you discovered that Aquafina is a really good one as well. I remember you telling me that as far as parts per million and that it was the lowest as far as contaminants go in — or particles in the water.
>> Dr. Harper: Yes, it is. The problem with Aquafina is it tends to be a acidic. So Dasani is another good one but it tends to be a acidic. The Real Water, on the other hand, tends to be alkaline. So that’s why as far as commercially available waters I think that one is probably preferable for now. We’ll will see what [inaudible].
>> Host: All right. Smart water is smart so you better be smart and go buy the Smart Water. Alright. Well it’s always a pleasure having you on Dr. Harper. Anything else that you’d like to add before closing tonight when it comes to cleansing?
>> Dr. Harper: Keep it pure. That’s all I can say. If you want the results, follow the instructions. That’s pretty simple.
>> Host: Yeah. Yeah. And one more thing too that I want you to add too that just came to mind and this is very important is you know how often to cleanse. I mean because obviously I mean people are doing it daily. When should someone really take some time, set aside some time and really do some deep cleansing. And how many times a year do you recommend deep cleansing which would be you know a nine-day cleanse?
>> Dr. Harper: Once you’ve achieved your ideal body weight probably about every three months. But your body will tell you. As you start to listen to your body you will realize, Hmm I’m just not feeling as good as I need to be feeling. And this will depend a lot on what you’ve been doing. Which types of foods you been eating. As you start getting on to these cleanses and you get your body into better shape when you go out and eat you’ll feel like you just poisoned yourself. And periodically you’re just going to realize, Ah I know how I’m feeling. I know this feeling. And then you get back into the cleansing. It may not be three months it may be only two months or maybe five months. But you’ll start realizing as you start listening to your body. But generally about every three months.
