>> Well, good morning everyone and welcome to our Saturday morning business training with Isagenix. It’s a pleasure to have you all with us. I can’t believe how fast the time is flying by this year. Can you all believe that it’s April 25th, 2009 and we’re having so much fun. This morning’s call is going to be a very informative call packed with all kinds of tips for success when it comes to network marketing moms. And here with us this morning is 6 Star Golden Circle Susan Sly, 5 Star Golden Circle Hilari Courtney, and 4 Star Golden Circle Michele Castle. And we asked these three women to come on as we know that they are–they’ve all had IsaBabies. They’ve all been raising their children as they’ve been building their multiple 6-figure income annually and I know they have had a lot of fun. We have so many moms within Isagenix, and dads that are building, you know, a massive dynasty within Isagenix and at the same time raising their beautiful families. And this morning’s call is really gonna teach you, you know, what Susan and Hilari and Michele have done to balance their life and to create massive success within their business and within their home. So with that being said, I would love to–what I’d like to do is introduce all three of these women, and then of course I’m going to ask them a series of questions and we’re gonna have a lot of fun and I just wanna let you ladies know that are on the line, as we’re answering and moving questions and moving forward, if any of you wanna contribute to any of the questions that are asked to any of you, just feel free. Let’s have a lot of fun this morning. So with that, I would love to introduce Susan and then of course Hilari and Michele. And Susan Sly has just become a dear friend of mine, actually all three of these women have. And a little background about Susan. She is a holistic nutritionist and trainer. She’s a former professor of nutrition. She competed for team Canada in the past because she’s a wonderful athlete. She has done Ironman in the past. She is a Boston marathon finisher, and you’re thinking, oh my goodness, you know with all of this education, you know, being an athlete and then of course building her business, she’s an author. She has been on ABC. She has 3 gorgeous children and one more on the way. Susan, how are you feeling?
>> I’m feeling great, Kjersti. They say Isagenix, my gosh, I’m just going into week 32. We’re about to move countries here. We sold our house in 7 days and we’re heading off for the United States. So lots going on–
>> Oh my goodness. That’s a lot going on. I know that Susan is one of our top income earners. She’s in the top 20 of income earners and she’s one of our Isagenix millionaires. She sits on the advisory board, and I think that one of the things that she can be most proud of is receiving the presidential award for 2008 which is a very special award that recognizes her for her leadership, her accomplishments, and surely you know, recognizing that she’s a woman of integrity. So good morning again, Susan, welcome.
>> Thank you.
>> And the next person–yes. The next person I wanna introduce to all of you is Hilari Courtney. She was actually named one of the women of Isagenix at celebration 2008. She’s only been with Isagenix for just a very short time and she has rise to the top of the income earner list. In 2008, she was also recognized as a rising star which is a very special award. As I said before, she’s a 5 Star Golden Circle, 3 Star Executive. And for those of you listening in that don’t know what a 3 Star Executive, it just means that she’s promoted people in her organization to become incredible leaders and also earning a substantial amount of income. She is in our top 30 of income earners. She loves working with people, helping people to see their true potential, and she has 2 children. She has a 2-year-old son, Caden [phonetic] and an [inaudible] little girl, Emerson. And actually, I mean just a brand new mommy and I know you’ve been on tons of conference calls Hilari, so talk about being busy as well, so good morning to you and welcome.
>> Good morning. Thank you so much. I’m excited to be on.
>> Yeah, well great to have you. And last but certainly not least, Michele Castle. She has been an amazing woman, someone that I’ve had a wonderful time getting to know. She has over 15 years experience of professional ministry leadership development, and she has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Boston University and master’s degree from Duke University in theological studies. She’s also an author. Her passion is to inspire others, to allow themselves to set themselves free financially and personally through the amazing industry of network marketing which we’re all enjoying. She is a single mother of three beautiful children, Noel [phonetic] that’s 9, Nathan that’s 6, and Lillian that’s 3. She home schools all three of them, so talk about really, you know, even just stepping it up one more notch here. And she’s been with Isagenix for about 4 years. She’s received some very special awards. Actually she was honored as one of the women of Isagenix from 2007 and honored as the member of the trainer’s circle in 2008. She’s a 4 Star Golden Circle, 1 Star Executive. So, Michele, good morning and welcome to the call.
>> Thank you so much for having me. It’s my honor and privilege. Thank you.
>> Well, I know we wanna have a lot of fun, so before I jump into asking any questions, I would like for each of you to just spend 1 to 2 minutes and share your story in how you even got involved in Isagenix because I know that there is a substantial number of people listening in that are brand new to the company. So, I will start with Susan. Tell us your story, how did it all begin?
>> Oh, thank you Kjersti for asking. It’s great to be amongst good friends, Hilari and Michele this morning. Well, like so many women in America and Canada, Australia, Taiwan and Hong Kong and Puerto Rico, I was really suffering in silence and I come from a corporate background. My husband, Chris, comes from a corporate background, and we–because of the crazy hours we are working, you know, I lost energy, I lost focus, I didn’t have my corporate drive anymore. And we made a decision to downsize our life and we were both making 6 figure income in Toronto and 6 years, well, six and a half years ago we moved back from Toronto to–We don’t live in Toronto. Many people think we do, we don’t. We live 4 hours away to the country and we started living on 35,000 dollars a year. And that’s sort of amorous state with this whole simplicity of life lasted maybe about 24 hours and we started to panic going, “Oh my gosh, what have we done?” And fortunately for me, my friend Deborah who I had been in networking marketing with before called me about Isagenix and she was so excited. She said “I’ve lost 15 pounds.” I said, “That’s great and thank but no thanks” because having been a nutritionist also for 15 years I thought, oh weight loss, whatever, it’s just another scam.
But thankfully Deborah kept calling me. She called me everyday for 21 days, and the tipping point for me is going to the website and seeing your dad. When I saw John Anderson, that was it for me. It was like this is a John Anderson product. I looked at the ingredients, I was done. I had been using John’s formulations for years and I said to Chris, it’s a John Anderson product. He said–even though we were so strapped for cash, Kjersti, I can’t even tell you in those days the landed cost for a 9-day cleansing system which, you know, this was in 2003, was about almost 300 dollars a system by the time we had the exchange rate, the shipping, all of it. And so that 600 dollars to do 9 days, it was a lot of money for us but I, you know, prayed on it. I was like, no, we’re gonna do it. And within 4 days it was like someone turned a light switch onto my body. I was cleaning the basement, I was playing soccer in the backyard. And I said to Chris, “I looked at the compensation plan. I saw Jim and Kathy Coover. I knew who Kathy was.” I said, “I’m gonna do this.” And then we put the pedal to the metal and we got to work. In those days, we’re both working. I had about 2 hours a day. I was on the phone, I was prospecting, connecting. I didn’t prejudge anyone, and within 10 months, got to a 3 Star Golden Circle income very part-time. The kids were young then, 5 and 1. And that’s our story, never looked back today, we’re top 10 income earners. So, there you have it.
>> Amazing, I know. And that was like the extra short version ’cause knowing you, you know, as one of my friends, I know that there’s a lot more into it. But this, this is one and amazing opportunity and I think that timing really has made itself manifested to like everybody that’s been able to take advantage of Isagenix. So Hilari, what is your story? Take us back, where does it all begin for you?
>> Wow, I’m–what an honor I mean to follow Susan. I’m thinking, okay, I’ve gotta try to be just great as she is. It’s so amazing so–but for me, I have been in Isagenix. In June it will be 3 years. And so, I just–I can’t believe it’s been 3 years when we started Isagenix. We had no babies and now we have a 2-year-old and a little tiny girl. So it’s just been an amazing journey. But, when I got started I had a business that was at the current time really falling apart right in front of our eyes and we were–we went from about 12,000 dollars a month in income to 0 dollars a month in income in 30 days. So I can understand what Susan was saying about the feeling of what–and you know, what are we gonna do. And when he haven’t called me I thought, you know, there is no way, this is not something that I’m interested in. I remember I’m home walking in the room and she said, “Who are you talking to?” And I said, “This guy but I’m not gonna do what he’s talking about.” And I just was so skeptical to be really honest. And so I flew out to Salt Lake City and when I got there, George Ruiz was there, Jimmy Smith and Lenny Evans did the training. How blessed was I, and that was the first thing I saw by Isagenix. And I remember Jimmy sitting down and talking to me and I didn’t even know who he was, you know, I was just new there and just amazed that he took the time to train and to teach.
And I think that’s the thing that I am–have felt in Isagenix that is it really, that it’s not a cliche, that it’s a family atmosphere. It really is the people in Isagenix care about us. And so from that point forward, I came home and just really, you know, kind of what Susan said, we put the pedals in metal and really worked the business. I did not have another job at the time because I had just lost my job. And so I did put in from the beginning, you know, 35, 40 hours a week and started working my business and just sharing with everyone. And I love what she said about not prejudging that and so try just check out the Memory Jogger.
My husband and I sat down. We made a list of over 200 people and I just started calling them and saying, “And I just started using this phenomenal new product. It’s got a great business side to it. Can I please come show it to you, I just need to practice?” And I would ask for their help, you know, “Will you just help me, let me show it to you.” And people said yes, and my business grew from there and, you know, now I’ve just continued to help my team build their business and, you know, did a meeting last night. I love the fact that we can, you know, have our families and yet still have this kind of career and, you know, what the Coovers have put together and your dad, it’s just been amazing for us. And so, like I said it’s been almost 3 years and we went from–literally you guys, you know we were 2 months behind in our mortgage. My parents were helping us pay our bills at that time because of my job loss.
And you know I’m not ashamed just to say that because I want you all to see the, you know, I want you to see that it doesn’t matter where you are today, this is possible for you and now 3 years later, we have no credit card, that we’re financially free and we are working right now. We are talking on Monday to finalize the papers for our dream home. And so it doesn’t matter, that’s really what you understand where you are, anything is possible if you’re willing to put forth the effort and to believe that it’s possible, so.
>> Wow, that’s so amazing. I think the first time that I actually saw you, I kept hearing about this Hilari Courtney, Hilari Courtney, and like who is she, and I met you at the top achievers and, you know, you were pregnant. And I’m like what, she’s doing all these and you know, she is pregnant, you know, expecting her first baby and so it’s really neat. And then Michele, Michele, I know, I just have to tell everybody, the first time that I heard about Michele was–I think it was Susan. Susan, I think you said something to me that oh, you know, this Michele Castle, she’s in my team, she’s gonna be dynamite. And guess what, she is like she just had a baby and she is literally building her Isagenix business from her hospital room. And I’m like, “What?”
[ Laughter ]
>> So, and that was the Lillian obviously. So Michele, tell us you know where it all began for you.
>> Wow, well I’m just so–before I got on the call I just spent some time just getting grounded and just really being grateful for this opportunity and I just got the sensation of you know, wow Kjersti and Susan and Hilari and me and just how 4 women, how each one of us is able to impact so many lives and together, you know, as part of this Isagenix family, just what we’re doing in the world and just how blessed we are to be able to make such a huge contribution to people’s physical health and their emotional health, their relationship health, and their financial freedom all, you know, in this environment where it’s actually compensated for doing what I would love to do anyway. So I’m just so grateful and Kjersti, you know you’re a dear, dear friend. I’m so grateful for this opportunity. Yeah, Susan, I don’t even know where to begin when I talk about Susan. My–you know, 4 years ago when I got involved with Isagenix, I was doubling and met a network marketing company. I was just kind of figuring out that this industry might actually have everything that I’ve been praying for for 5 years. I was very worried about my husband’s physical and emotional health. I was very worried about our financial health. We were living paycheck to paycheck.
You know, we didn’t even have money for a date night or anything. And I had a job with a lot of responsibility as diocesan director for Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Raleigh. And I did get to work from home and my husband was a social worker and, you know, we were just in a situation where nothing was gonna change financially. The bills were only gonna go up and we didn’t–you know, we just didn’t have another way of making more money and I was very, very worried about it. I could really read the writing on the wall and I just had intuitively a feeling there was a better way but I just didn’t know what it was. And when I went to a conference for entrepreneurs, I–there was a woman in the room that was just so radiant and so magnetic and so clear on what she was about in the world and I just could not keep my eyes off her, of course she’s beautiful as well. And thank God everyday that Jeff Combs introduced me to her. And that was Susan and I just, you know, when I got my questions answered I think he had to do–I made her sweat. I think I had her do like 4 or 5, 3-way calls with me. The last one was direct to Spain, you know, but it just got my questions answered because I wanted to make sure that it was what it seemed like it was. And when I realized that it was what it was, I just got to work and I did everything Susan said. I was so afraid about 3-way calls.
I had a terrible warm market. My warm market was really nice but I just thought it was holy to be boring to struggle and suffer and that you could help the poor by being one and my husband’s warm market was the same way. And it was–it was challenging. I had to go out and, you know, learn a whole new skill set. I didn’t have a corporate job, I didn’t have any experience in sales, I didn’t, you know, never had my own business, you know, just really used to working for the church and, you know, helping–trying to just help people. And you know, got to work though. Once I realized what I had and, you know, everything that happens just–I made that really clear connection that no matter how things–how tough things got that the only thing that was gonna change that was Isagenix.
So when, you know when I had my third baby and you know, when my mom got so sick, she almost died and all these different things and, you know, recently my husband passed away. And you know, that was a huge shock and tragedy for my family. But I’m just so grateful for the family, the support, the residual income that I have with Isagenix. It just, you know, until my whole idea around the business, it’s just like you know, shifted since July when he died and I just see how many, you know, people’s houses, households and families are house of cards and just how important it is that people have money coming in, that they have residual incomes. They will have time and freedom and they can, you know, be there for the relationships that are important in their life. And that’s really, you know, one of the most amazing things about Isagenix is the freedom that you get when your bills are paid and you can do what you need to do on your terms. So, that’s my story.
>> Wow, wow. And you know like Jimmy, it was shared on that Tuesday night call last week that Jimmy just absolutely loves the fact that here he is, he is 81 years young. He can literally just decide, well you know what, today I think I’m gonna go and I’m gonna fly out and get to a meeting tonight in San Francisco or something crazy. I mean–and he lives in Pennsylvania, and that’s what he said. He showed up at a meeting, an opportunity to just–you don’t walk in the backdoor and of course, you know, everybody was so excited to see him ’cause he’s just such an amazing man and I think we’re truly attracting just some incredible individuals. Obviously, all three of you women are amazing. And I think that really–that really lets people know something that we’ve really got something special here within Isagenix and that your values have aligned with the company values, and our mission, our vision. So let’s take it off. Now I just wanna thank all of you for sharing. I want you to briefly answer, I’m gonna ask Susan and as well as Hilari and Michele the same question but I want you to briefly tell me, you know, and kind of sum it up what does a day look like for Susan Sly, Hilari, and Michele and we’ll start with Susan.
>> Well thank you so much, Kjersti, and I started to weave a little bit when Michele is talking about Noel [phonetic] passing because, you know, even though this isn’t the answer to that question, there is not a day goes by that I don’t think what if, you know, what if I hadn’t connected with Michele. Where were, you know, those beautiful children be, what would her life be like. And if you take nothing from what I say today as everyone who is listening to this, just keep thinking that there are people in America and all over the world right now who’ve been praying for this, who needs something desperately, just get out of your own way.
>> And so our schedule, what does that look like? Well, here we go. I get up every morning between 6 and 6:30. The first thing I do personally is I pray and meditate. And I say the same prayer every morning, dear God, help me to be the best wife I can be, the best mother I can be, the best person I can be. Help me to touch, move, and inspire anyone who comes into my path, you put in my path today. Then I get up, we hit the ground running, we, Chris and I are getting the kids ready, we’re feeding them breakfast, making their lunches. If I have some time I will–I get about 150 emails a day so I–we’ll blow through some of those.
Then it’s at the door for the mommy bus at 8 in the morning [laughs] and we get out sharp. And the older kids are in school so I take them off to their school and then I hit the gym. I listen to personal development in the car, hit the gym, go work out, do some cardio and come back in at around quarter to 10, grab my shake. Then every morning Monday through Friday I do the health, wealth, and freedom team call. I’ve been doing that for the last year and a half. It’s recorded on Facebook. And then at 11 AM, I’m producing and my schedule goes from 11 until 4, so I’m doing 3-way calls, I’m doing team calls, I’m personal prospecting, mentorship calls, that kind of thing, 4 o’clock my phone shuts down. I do not do business between 4 and 8. The top network marketer in the world could say I want an appointment with you, uh-uh, because my kids come first. I’m here to build with my family not inside of them. They come in and we are, you know, we’re doing homework and we’ve got projects and the last we did was this recycled art project that took quite a bit of time and then lastly for also showing the house.
So you can only imagine, number 1, even though we have a housekeeper I’m also trying to keep the house clean with 3 kids and all of that stuff. And if I have time, I sneak in a second workout and I’ll go power walking with my neighbor April who’ve lost 122 pounds on Isagenix! Yey! And she looks amazing. And then you know, dinner, prayers, bedtime, and then when the kids go to bed then it’s my time to get back on the phone Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Thursday night is date night with Chris. That’s sacred. I do not do calls after 4 o’clock. Friday night is family movie night. Often Saturday I am doing a presentation. I’m, you know, going to Ottawa to do my last Canadian presentation next Saturday, so I’m often doing a presentation. If I’m not, on Saturdays I will spend about 3 or 4 hours of a dedicated Isagenix time. That could be getting back to some emails that I didn’t quite get to, writing some articles, connecting to teammates, doing 3-way calls.
Sunday, I do not do business, 6-day labor–6 days of labor, 1 day of rest. And so we have a lot of balance. We have a lot of family time. Our kids are very happy. They, you know, we were really here all the time and my first goal when I came in was first to get myself retired and then to get Chris retired. And I really believe we’re creating a new family dynamics here in North America. I’m 36, Chris is 39, the kids are 12, 6, 3, and then you know, in another 8, 9 weeks we’ll have another one. And even though we have between us something silly like 14 years of postsecondary education, we are you know, very blessed to be Isagenix millionaires and to be able to say, “Look, you do not have to live in this rat race.” I was just interviewed for Forbes Magazine a couple of weeks ago and they were talking about how there’s this trend where women are the ones keeping their jobs and men are getting laid off, and it was actually on CBC News here in Canada this morning. So there are a lot of these women going to work, you know, also being moms, you know, getting the groceries, all these things and these dads are at home now and they don’t know what to do. It doesn’t have to be like that. Isagenix can change the way of the American family or the Canadian families.
So we don’t have to live into anyone else’s ideal. So that’s what Chris and I did and that’s where our passion, our focus is to really recreate what is possible for families, whether that is like, you know, what Michele is going through being a single parent family or whatever that family looks like or like Hilari where she’s just starting her family. And it’s paving a new way to be a family, get back to those traditional family values right here in America and Canada. So that’s the schedule and I’m very diligent about the schedule. And the schedule is freeing for me and that’s how I do it all.
>> [Giggles] I love that, I love it. And one of the things that you said, I mean out of everything, I didn’t hear you once say, “You know, I’m gonna sit down and I’m gonna turn on CNN, I’m gonna turn on this or whatever.” I think that you’re just constantly moving forward. Everything is planned out just beautifully and there is a balance between family and business and you’re dedicated on both ends like for instance date night on Thursday night. I love that.
>> It is.
>> And Hilari, what–
>> Oh sorry.
>> What’s the–what’s the–go ahead, Susan. Did you wanna make a comment?
>> I was just gonna say, you know, I see so many–before I pass it off to Hilari ’cause, you know, Hilari and I have discovered [inaudible]. I just want to say, you know, as people are listening to this and, you know, don’t compare yourself to Susan or Hilari or Michele, you’ve got to do something that works for you but don’t forget to schedule in your partner, your children. You know I heard, you know, Madonna and I have a mutual acquaintance, Joyce Banda, who’s the vice president of Malawi. And I found out that Madonna actually schedules time in for her kids and people are like, “Oh, that’s horrible that’s, this, this, this.” Well, this woman is worth 500 million dollars, and you know what, if you don’t schedule in time as awful as that sounds, it’s not gonna happen. So, you know, I’m adamant about that. Anyways, I just want to share that.
>> Great. No, I love that. Okay, so Hilari now moving on into your schedule, what does a day look like for Hilari Courtney?
>> Okay, so things have changed a little bit because I have an 8-week-old, so we have a new baby here. But–and I do wanna just say something to Susan real quick. Susan, when I first had my first son, I started Isagenix with no children, 6 weeks in the Isagenix, I got pregnant. So the whole time I have been in the company, I was even pregnant or having babies, had little kids. And I remember when Caden was born I thought, I don’t know how to do this with a child. I’ve always done everything whenever I wanted, and so I remember calling Susan and she said, “You have to have a schedule, you know, you can’t–” Because I’m really fly by the seat of my pants and she’s like, “You know, you’ve got to have a schedule or your life is gonna be insane.” And so, I just wanna thank you for that because I made such a huge difference. And for me what we do is my husband leaves for–he loves his job and wants to work, so I keep trying to retire him, Susan, but he won’t do it, so.
And so he leaves for work at 5 in the morning and then I get up with–I’m throughout the night with Emerson, but I get up with my son Caden about–he gets up around 8 o’clock and then we get him–I get him ready. He goes to the sitter from 9 to noon. So, from 9 to noon I really work my business. I do phone calls, I do training calls, coaching calls, whatever, webinars, whatever my team needs me to do then. I pick him up at noon. We come home, we have lunch. He goes down for his nap at 1, so again from 1 to 4 are my 3 hours of afternoon work time. So my team knows between 9 and noon and then between 1 and 4, those are the 6 hours during the day that I’m really devoting to my business. And so, whatever needs to be done in the afternoon like Susan said with emails and just follow-ups and whatever, you know, 3-way calls. Whatever people need done for me, that’s what I do. And then when he gets up at 4, we play outside. It’s time for him.
I mean I just remember doing that call with Susan and she was telling about the schedule and it’s so freeing because I don’t feel guilty when I’m working because I know I take time. When I work, I work, and when I have family time, I have family time. And that was something that she taught me, because with my last company, that really, for lack of a better word, it threatened my marriage. I mean I worked 80 to 90 hours a week and I thought, oh, Justin’s always gonna be here. But the truth of the matter is Susan’s right. You have to make your family a priority. And when you have, you know, on my team now we have almost 12,000 people that even if you spend a minute with everybody, it is time consuming and so you’ve got to make time for your family. So, between 4 and when he goes to bed about 8 o’clock and when she’s kinda up and down whenever, but between 4 and 8, I don’t do anything. That’s time for Caden. I make dinner and all that family time. And then after he’s asleep, I do phone calls, webinars, I do a lot of 9 o’clock, 8:30, 9 o’clock webinars and training calls, and that works great for me, and then try to get everybody in bed and wrap around by like 10:30.
And it starts over again the next day and that–So I do that Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, my schedule’s a little different. Saturdays, I usually don’t do anything on Saturdays unless I’m doing like, you know, a retreat like we’re doing one in Kansas City in June so then, you know, I’m working on that Saturday, or if somebody has something that they want me to come do, but I don’t usually schedule a lot on Saturdays. And then I’m like Susan, I do not work on Sundays, that’s time for my family. So, that’s the schedule that we try to keep, and it keeps us really busy especially with the baby. But, you know, the thing is is that when I’m busy, I accomplish more and when I’m, you know, don’t have the schedule and I–then I accomplish less. So it’s really been really important to us.
>> That’s nice. And one of the things that you said that really is so important that I wanna, you know, repeat is the fact that you don’t feel guilty while you’re working because you know that you’re gonna be able to have family time after your work is complete for the day. And I just love that because if it’s a constant tag of war, I can imagine that there would be a lot of guilt, you know. And as a matter of fact, I thought about that yesterday when my husband, he’s now at home with me and he’s actually the part of one of the 5.1 million people that have lost their jobs. Actually that number’s probably much larger now, but he goes to the bus stop and he picks the children up everyday at 4:15 and brings them home.
>> And when they walked in the door, I was on a very important business call yesterday and the kids know that mom’s on a call, she’s gonna be wrapping it up and I did and I didn’t feel guilty because I knew that we were gonna be spending some time together from the moment I hang up that phone call forward. So, I can totally resonate with that.
>> Now Michele, I–you know, what does a day look like in the life of Michele. You’re a single parent. You’ve got 3 beautiful kids and you home school them. What do we look, what does it look like here for you?
>> Well I have to tell you, I’m–you know, I’m going through a lot of transition right now. I’m just kinda figuring out how this is all gonna work, but I really am a huge proponent of having a support team at home. That’s the only way that my life works. I have a nanny. She used to come 4 days a week. Now she’s just finishing up her associates degree in early childhood education, so she’s got exams and things like that. So she’s only coming 2 days a week recently. But, I’m actually hiring her full time the end of May, so she’s gonna be doing administrative things and helping out with my Isagenix business as well. So I’m very excited about that. But I mean I think in a way, just looking at how I’ve been able to build the business is that I think–and for moms, I think that probably the most important first goal for anyone who really wants to do this business is to hire someone, to earn the money to hire someone who can do laundry and cleaning and, you know, spend some time with the kids if that’s what you need if they’re not in school. And that’s been a huge piece for me. You know, right from the start my first goal was to get a nanny and I did that in the first couple of months and I was so grateful because I was pregnant.
I knew I was gonna have a [inaudible] all sort of stuff. So, you know, and getting okay with the one you’re not being done the way that I would do it exactly and, you know, being you know the cleaning and things like that not exactly the way I would do it, but just being really, really good at delegating, you know. And for me structuring the way that I check things is I notice times in my schedule like nap time. Lilly takes a nap everyday from 1 to 3. The boys are in a home school program for home school kids on Tuesdays and Thursdays for half day. So there are certain times when I–even if I don’t have childcare per se, I have time when I can do like really formal calls like prospecting and 3-way calls with, you know, professionals and things like that. And so, those are the times, the pockets when I absolutely will not be interrupted. Those are the times when I really prioritize the things that, you know, really need to be treated as a profession and where it doesn’t look good if I’m, you know, on this one with the chiropractor and you know Lilly is asking for apple juice, that doesn’t really work for me. But then there’s a huge–and this is something Susan, you know, really help me with the whole guilt thing, was realizing there are certain parts of our business that you really, you know you wanna set a time that you don’t, you’re not gonna–you know your kids are not there. But there are also a lot of things that I can do when I am with my kids like prospecting. You know before when my husband was around, you know, I could–and I had a full time nanny, you know I could go to a lot more networking meetings and things like that and so I had a lot of things like a BNI group and the chamber meetings and, you know, chamber dinners and you know different networking groups that I would do.
I can’t–I don’t do that right now. You know I can go to a meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays right now. That’s the only days I have childcare, but then I do prospects all the time because I–you know I take my children with me and we go to Costco, we ran errands, we–you know we’re shopping, we’re out and about, we’re at the park, we’re, you know at fencing practice, we’re at you know different things that we do together, and I’m just always connecting with people. So, in a way my–I don’t have as clear boundaries around my schedule or my business the way that Susan and Hilari do and I–That’s actually something I’ve been really thinking about in the last week is how to do that more formally. Right now the way, you know, the last 6 months, 8 months since my husband died, I’ve been–it’s just kind of woven into my life. And you know my kids really–I was asking them this morning and I said, “You know, how does it feel to have a mom who does Isagenix?” And they said, “It feels really good, we like that you’re home all the time. We don’t like it when you travel.” You know, they’re very enrolled in the fact that we go to Disney World, we go on cruises, you know, we do things that other families can’t do because I do Isagenix, you know.
So they get that. And the big part of this is important for me is modeling entrepreneurialship for my children. You know, and they see the work ethic that it takes. You know they see–You know they understand. Like Hilari said, you know, when–like you said, Kjersti, when you’re on a call you know your kids get that, you know, and I–Like right now for this call, you know, I was like, I made sure Lilly got up a little earlier so her nap is a little earlier today and, you know, the boys are able to you know do some educational stuff on the computer and they know I have you know 1 hour, unless the house is burning down, do not interrupt me. So you know I had–a big part of making this work isn’t having my family fully enrolled in what I do and, you know, I have–I mean bedtime is like absolutely nonnegotiable. But hearing this call I’m like, maybe my bedtime–the bedtime should be 8 because my kids go to bed at 9 and so that I have time from, you know, 9 to 11. That’s when I can talk with people in my team, you know do mentorship calls and things that are, you know, less formal and I do some–I do 3-way calls between 9 and 10 too, but–So you know just kind of–I think that’s been a key piece in this is just looking at like, when someone calls me for a 3-way or you know home party. I do home parties Mondays and Wednesday nights and I have sitters, you know, and we provide childcare. So, there’s just different things that I made it work, you know, I’ve just made it work with my kids and look at what can I do with and without my kids and fit that into a time when I have childcare.
>> I love that. I love the fact that you’re building with your kids, I think that it’s such a wonderful example with them and you’re out having fun, you’re out doing things, you’re out prospecting. You know while you’re at the park or while you’re doing things, I think that’s a wonderful thing and you are doing such a beautiful job too, Michele. I just–you have a busy life and I know you’re [inaudible] and you’re soaking up all the love that those little ones can give you. Now just, you know, for the sake of time and because you guys have given a substantial amount of information, ladies, the next 3 questions that I wanted to ask already have been answered, so I’m gonna jump down a little bit and go back to Susan and ask, what does it take to get a 6 figure income with your family in tow. What does it take, what is all involved there?
>> Oh, Kjersti, great question and I’m just gonna throw the gauntlet down to be perfectly honest. The first thing for me was I had to stop comparing myself. You know I was very blessed to be mentored by Jimmy Smith, but I’m not Jimmy Smith. You know Jimmy, we talked about Jimmy’s ability to have that time freedom to jump on the plane to do those things, I didn’t have that because like Hilari I’ve been having babies and I got started at Isagenix with those chocolates, so anyway–So part of this piece is number 1, I had to stop comparing myself. Okay, how fast did Jimmy do it, how fast did Kathy Smith do it, how fast did you do it? That didn’t matter. It was only about me, my family, and that was the end of the story. So, setting the schedule was the second thing, you know, because you have to have a clearing to produce them, we just talked about that, and knowing really why. What does that 6 figure income mean and I would get up, I–you know I exercise every single day because I used to be almost 200 pounds that I, you know, I would visualize, okay, that 6 figure lifestyle. So that meant for me I had a vision like I’d be in the garden with AJ planting flowers.
I’d be able to like Michele said, so eloquently hire someone to help me, you know, first a housekeeper and then an assistant and so on and so forth. So, what did that mean? And I got it so ingrained in the fiber of my being, that to not create that, I would just feel sick. I just thought of letting it go. And my mentor, Deb, she taught me if not this, then what? And I kept saying that, Susan, if not this then what? So when I had wall kicking moments, and I did, I kept going if not Isagenix then what, because there is no other company out there. There are a lot of other companies out there but there’s nothing like we have in Isagenix. So–and I also took solace in knowing that there are a lot of, you know, there were people who paved the way who got to those 6, in multiple 6 figure incomes. So that you know–and I had my heroes in Isagenix, there were gals who had kids who were, maybe not quite as young as mine but they were, you know, they had younger kids and I modeled after them and I really focused in. The next thing was it–what was I doing all the time, IPAs, income producing activity, so it was ATT all the time like Michele was talking about. So when I was out with the kids I was, you know, prospecting at karate and dance and everything. And when I was in my office in my hours of operation, because when I first started, I had a job and I couldn’t do Isagenix and my job, I could only do my job. And I–when I had my hours initially with 8 to 10 at night and my kids go to bed at 10 because they are just little cranky monsters if they don’t–at 8, sorry. If they don’t go to bed at that time, but I would–8 to 10 every single night I was just, you know, on the phone. I was connecting with people. I had my names list. I would say who wants to cleans with you. I was, you know, coaching people through the cleanse. But in my coaching, I was also building into there more market. So everyone I sponsor, Mar Lorenzo and Suzan Hart, in the beginning they all went consultant, then we drove those teams to star consultant. I just worked deep in my organization constant, constant, constant. I also didn’t let a week go by that I didn’t get paid.
>> So when I got my first cycle, I cycled every week after and that one cycle became three and so on and so fort. And I got my people paid because how do you become a 6 figure income earner? Well guess what? You’re going to have to co-create some income and then you’re–you know, as you got into the state where you’re so focused, you’re so driven, your eye is on the project, you’re gonna attract people like Hilari, like Michele, who you can link arms and match energy with and the other tip I wanna give is be specific about who you’re looking for. I have no bones about saying this. In the beginning, my whole mission was to co-create six-figure women and also preferably women who were moms. Why? I, like Michele, I might be doing–and Hilari, I might be doing three-way calls changing the diapers. So you wanna be doing three-way calls with not someone who’s judging you that you’re changing a diaper but you wanna be doing them with other women who are like, “Wow, that’s so cool.” You are making a serious income and you’re doing it, your kids are with you, or like Michele and I, how many calls have we done where, you know, Michele was, you know, for instance like, you know, with the kids and I’m with the kids and we’re also having a lot of fun.
You know, we do three-way calls and the kids would get on the phone together. I mean you wanna be able to match energy with people whose values on your own, who you resonate with and that’s how I got there and I’m very goal oriented. I have the goal all up in the wall and I always have my goals up in the wall. Chris [phonetic] took them down ’cause we’re, you know, showing the house. But I always have the goals up in the wall where I could see them. So they’re always at the forefront, always at the focus and I can tell you when I get to Arizona in six weeks, I’m gonna do–I’m not gonna change a thing. I already know where am I going to seek business partners. Well I’m gonna seek out people who love the things I like, Bikram yoga. I’m gonna seek out other momtrepreneurs. I’m gonna seek out fabulous parents, moms or dads, I heard dad on the phone. I’m gonna seek out people who also have kids. This is the most fun business you’re ever gonna do. Michele and I, we’ve taken our families to Disney. I watched her prospects all the way down the I-95. I mean how much fun is that? You can write it off too, it’s great. So that’s what it takes to get to a six-figure income with your family in tow and you’ve gotta stop–my big message is do not compare yourself to someone else in Isagenix or in another company who may be–doesn’t have young children, who doesn’t have any children. It doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing. You’ve gotta do what you can do and so you can sleep peacefully at night and you know, have a beautiful family. You can really have it all.
>> Wow! Wonderful, wonderful answer there. Lots of wonderful tips. So I think just–not only for mommies or for daddies that are building this business, raising there kids but for really anybody. I mean that is just a phenomenal little segment there, Susan, thank you. And then Hilari, the next question I wanted to ask you was, you know, what can you do to build the business out of your home so that you’re not gone too much? And this is a big deal for you because you’ve got an infant, you’ve got a little tiny baby. And so what is your answer to that?
>> Absolutely, I love this question of people, so how are you not gone all the time and to be honest, we don’t live either in a big city. Our town has 900 people and we live about an hour and a half from Kansas City which is the closest, you know, place of people to us. And so, you know, it’s amazing ’cause it doesn’t matter where you are. If you have kids or not, you can build this business out of your house and that’s what I have done so much with Isagenix and that’s what I love about it. And we do different systems. For one, I do training calls with my team. I have my top five that I’m working. Like Susan said, they build into their organization. And so, I do a weekly training call with each of them and see what’s going on with their team, who they’re working with and I do three-way call with them and their team but, you know, we have the system of working with and that’s just something I setup and [inaudible] to do is work with five people at a time because then you’re working with their people and many people said it builds deeper. And we do a lot of webinars in my team. We do eleven webinars a week that are live and as far as showing the presentation that has both the opportunity of the business and the product. We also do three businesses training webinars a week.
And those are great ’cause that doesn’t matter if we have people anywhere in the country. They can be on those webinars and they’re setup at times like with our schedule that are either when my son is [inaudible] in the morning so the sitter at 11:30 or at the evenings at 8 and 9PM so that he’s already asleep. So you can really make it fit in your schedule and that’s what I love about it because we do have the opportunity to show people that it doesn’t matter where they are. You know, small town, big town, kids, no kids, it doesn’t matter what your situation is. You can make this work and you know, that’s how we’ve been able to build so much of it out of the house and just relate it to somebody just like if you have a full time job and you’re on this call and you’re thinking, “Okay, how am I gonna make this, you know, work when I already work 40 hours a week?” You know, we do the 11:30 so that people who work a job can do, you know, the webinar on their lunch break and I love the, you know, the new six-figure makers and that Lenny and Kathy did is so phenomenal.
You know, in 15 minutes somebody can watch that and learn about the product and the business. So there really is, you know, no excuse and even with a baby, you know, I thought I’m gonna take maternity leave and that hasn’t really happened yet ’cause we have such freedom anyway that I love what I do. And last night, you know, I went and did a meeting in Kansas City where [inaudible] is doing awesome. I have no one with me and we took the baby with us and it’s great. And Susan’s right. You know, you wanna connect with people who have the same values, the same respect for as you do for them. And so last night, you know, I knew it wouldn’t be a problem to take Emerson with us because the people on my team know that this is about my family, number one, and my business, number two. And for me that’s the priorities that we have and that doesn’t have to, you know, be out for everyone and it’s your own decision but for me, I’ve chosen to, you know, make sure that my family is always, you know, my priority and when they are, it makes everything else oh so even and you know, so easy. So you know, those are the things that I really do have a hell lot of a three-way calls, a lot of the, you know, stuff on the internet. Like she’s gonna say, you know, her calls now are on Facebook but I have so many of my teams. So thank you Susan, who loves Susan’s daily call and are on there everyday and they don’t miss one. And so, there’s so many tool out there that you don’t have to be able to be gone from home all the time to make this business successful, so.
>> Right. I know. Thank goodness for technology [simultaneous talking] because I mean you’re really putting technology to work for you and reaching out and really expanding your team all over North America. And you know, and I’m sure in certain–in other parts of the world where we’re at. So, wonderful. And now Michele, the next question that I wanted to ask you, you already talked about a little bit in, you know, delegating someone to come into your home and help clean and I love what you said. I–this is so me. Michele, you were like, you know, accepting the fact that, you know, they didn’t fold the laundries just like you would or you know, clean just like you would. I love that because that’s me, that I mean I’m really weird about that. As a matter of fact, I don’t have anybody cleaning my house. So I think I might take advantage of your little kick there.
[ Laughter ]
>> Yeah. You know, the thing is when you realize the value of your time, you know, the huge epiphany is like I’m emptying the dishwasher and I’m like, “Why am I emptying this dishwasher? Now this is something that anyone can do for 10 dollars an hour or less, you know and I could be on the phone creating a six-figure income,” you know, unlike I can’t do this. This–emptying my dishwasher is a luxury that I am not willing to pay for. [Laughter] And that’s what the rule–you know, the rule is that like, “Get over it Michele, like, you know, show ‘em how you can do it,” and they’ll do the best they can and you’re gonna be okay with it because of the–you know what? I realized how much monetary value there is on my time then I dedicate whatever I can. I mean even my nanny now, she’s–you know, she’s doing a lot more of the home schooling. My husband did a lot of the home schooling and that’s been a huge shift. You know, also I have the kids nowadays. You know, there’s a lot that they can do on their own. You know, so they’ve got a routine like in the morning, you know, I get up in the morning and I do my Ionics, I take my accelerator, I do my chocolates, I have some Want More Energy, I do meditation, I journal, and I do prayer. While they’re doing that, my kids pick up 20 things off the floor in their room. They make their beds. They get dressed. They put their clothes in the laundry and they do tutor home schooling worksheets. You know, they–it just happens, you know, because–and that didn’t happen overnight.
I gotta tell you [laughter] that we are, you know, working into a schedule where, you know, we’re honoring what’s the most important and another question we had talked about was the whole idea of working out, like how do I take time for myself and that’s a huge issue that I didn’t even really realize that I guess single parents really have to deal with ’cause if I didn’t make that a priority, I wouldn’t have any time for myself. You know, it’s one thing to schedule in time for your kids but I have to schedule time in for myself but I don’t get any, you know. So I do that, you know. In the morning I, you know, I take my time and I take walks in the woods, you know, at least three or four times a week, I–by myself and you know, I read in bed at night before go, you know, go to sleep and my workouts are absolutely nonnegotiable. I will not not workout like at least three or four times a week and you know, right now within any situation and part time and all that, I, you know, what I’ve been doing, I’m just gonna confess and you know, it’s working for us like, sorry, some of you think this is a bad idea but you know, my kids, you know, I have a nine-year-old kid. It’s not like, you know, Hilari can’t do this, you know, [laughter] but I have a 9-year-old, a 6-year-old and a 3-year-old. And so, I drive to, you know, the gym–it’s not a gym, it’s actually a one-roomed studio that’s all glass outside and I just park directly outside right there and my kids have their Isagenix bars, their organic milk boxes and they watch a movie during the one hour and I can see them. You know, if they need something, they come inside whatever, but I mean they’re right there, the car’s running and it’s locked and I can see them. You know, they’re never out of my view. So it actually is legal to do that as long as you can see your kids.
>> But you know, just–I mean I’ve had to view creative things, you know or what am I gonna do? I don’t have child care then I guess I can’t work out. No, I’m not gonna do that because I’ve never been athletic in my life. I’m not like Susan. You know, I’ve never been athletic and I think it’s a gift from God that since last May I’ve made my physical, you know, fitness not only just being like a, you know, which–there are a lot of people in Isagenix that do this. You know, we don’t have to worry about our weight but how, you know, how’s your cardiovascular health? How’s your lean muscle, you know? So I’ve made that a priority and I’m not gonna give that up, you know. It’s too easy to get out of the habit. So you know, I really–I guard that time for myself and my workout and walking and the other thing is quality relationships, you know, with people, with, you know, with people that mean a lot to me. You know, I take that time on the phone everyday, you know. I just don’t go out all the time or anything but I take the time to have good quality conversations with people that you give mutual unconditional acceptance in that they accept that from me. I do that everyday. It’s very life giving for me.
>> We would love that. I would love–you know, the fact is having a gym out where I live, you know, made us, you know, glass walls so that I could see what my kids were doing. I think that’s they’re wonderful thing and you’ve been creative. That’s the cool thing about it. I love that. Okay, so now lets’ talk about relaxation because this is a big deal. You guys have painted the picture of what your days looked like. Actually before we go into that, [inaudible] even though I was and I was gonna ask you that question but let’s talk about working out ’cause Michele, you brought it up. You know, you just told us a little bit about, you know, what–how you do it and really, my whole thought behind that is that why is that there’s people on the line that give up themselves all the time, that don’t make enough time for themselves, and Susan and Hilari, I want you to comment on this. Why is important to make time to work out? You know, we are a health and wellness company and you know, why don’t you guys share just a couple of your thoughts on this?
>> Sure Kjersti. Well as a, you know, as many people know, I was a personal trainer for 15 years and a holistic nutritionist and you know, people say, “Susan, you know, I have stubborn fat.” And I’ll say, “So what are you doing to workout?” And they’ll go, “Well I guess I should do something.” So here’s the bottom line. We have the best nutritional products on the planet. Bar None, I’ve been in this industry of helping wellness for two decades and I can tell you there’s nothing superior to Isagenix on the market. So that’s a great part but that’s only one of the pieces. We require–like Michele said, we require cardiovascular exercise, that is walking, that is running, that is cycling, swimming, all of those things to burn body fat. We require it to work the heart muscle. We also require it to detox.
So with Isagenix, you’re putting great nutrients into your body and it’s helping to very gently remove impurities. Exercise helps that process along. We also need exercise, ladies listening to this, to boost our bone density because yes, Isagenix provides wonderful nutrient but you require–clinical studies have shown you require some resistance activities whether that is, you know, running, aerobics, that kind of thing in order to boost your bone density and in America, America has one of the highest rates of osteoporosis in the world. That comes from the Journal of Gerontology. So resistance exercise–resistance training is weight training whereas cardiovascular is the, you know, the running, cycling, and that kind of thing that makes you sweat, you need that. I didn’t–you know and here’s the beautiful marriage of Isagenix. I was working out when I was training for the Ironman Triathlon, I went up to 265 pounds because although I had the exercise, I didn’t have the proper nutrition. Thanks to Isagenix, I have the proper nutrition and that, combined with exercise, allows me to be able to maintain a size four body, you know, when I’m not like [laughter] Hilari, one night and Michele having children.
So the exercise is the key component. I also say how can you give from a well that’s empty and as you become more and more engaged in your Isagenix business, you’re going to have people who you’re coaching to do the cleanse, who you’re doing calls with, how can you give from a well that’s empty? One of the things that fills your well is getting out and getting some exercise, a minimum of 30 minutes a day and it could be power walking, hiking, whatever it is for you. I’m always listening to Personal Development on my iPod. Download these calls. You know, thanks to our IT department who rocks, we’re now able to podcast so you can list into this. Get out there, be inspired and then comeback and then produce and see what a difference it makes. And I’m also not gonna sugar coat it because I’m not known for sugar coating. Michele’s probably giggling. You can’t lose weight on three workouts a week, okay? You’re gonna have to get consistent exercise. Americans and the Canadians are getting more and more sedentary, five to six times a week. Even being almost eight months pregnant, and I can talk about this in a moment, I am exercising six days a week but doing something active seven days a week and I do Bikram yoga, still that’s the hot yoga. I still run. I ran yesterday, not far, almost just three miles but you know, that’s what I can do right now. I power walk. I do the elliptical. I do weights. Why? Because I love my children, I love my family, and I love God and I’m here on this planet to be the best I can be. I can’t be the best I can be if I don’t exercise. So how is that for sugar coating, Kjersti?
[ Laughter ]
>> I don’t think–
[ Laughter ]
>> I see the answer Kjersti. I think she [inaudible].
>> Wow! Well, you know, one thing you said is I do, I wanna be here for my kids. I wanna be as healthy as possible and I think that when you make time for yourself, you workout, you’re putting amazing nutrients into your body each and everyday with Isagenix. You know, it’s just taking it to the–a whole new level with exercise. You are actually walking the talk. And you will–your business will flourish more when you are fit and healthy than when you’re not. That’s just a given fact. I just–and I love that. Let’s move on to Hilari. Did you wanna add anything? I know you said, “She just said it all,” but is there anything else you wanna add [inaudible].
[ Simultaneous Talking ]
>> I mean for me, with Caden, he sleeps from one to four and then I’ve got it so that I can get Emerson down at the same time, praise the Lord. And so there’s the three hours in the afternoon for me where they’re both sleeping and that’s when I fit it in because–and I just–we just have a treadmill in one of the rooms in our house ’cause again we live in a town of 900 people. There aren’t gyms or anything like that. So that’s what we do and I’m really excited with the new house we’re building. My husband’s actually putting–we’re putting a small gym in the basement. So they’re–you know, you’ve gotta have a place where you can go and right now, our house is small. I mean you guys–my treadmill sits in the middle of my office and so, it folds up. In the afternoon I unfold it, you know, do my treadmill and then fold it back up. So I mean it does take commitment ’cause when both the kids are sleeping, a lot of new moms sleep, you know or–and everybody says, “”Why aren’t you sleeping?” But the great thing is Isagenix. You know, I am not tired, I don’t feel that energy drained. So it allows us to be able to, you know, perform even when others can’t, so.
>> Here’s my– Kjersti, along with the same lines, you know, this is what–you know, I think it can be fun, you know and that’s–you know, I always perceive it as work and like, oh, you know, I have to do this, you know and I have to, you know, I have to and I have to make myself and stuff like that and I tried a lot of different things for me. I get–I literally get bored to tears on a treadmill. I cannot take–I’m like I think to myself when I treadmill if I was wanted to be on a treadmill, I’d get a job. You know, that–a treadmill feels like a job to me. I can’t stand it but I have–you know, I tried–I like water aerobics but I wasn’t seeing the physical fitness as like in my appearance that I wanted and I am mat at me like really lean, amazing physique water aerobic instructor. So I’m like, okay, I don’t go to broke financial planners and I don’t go to overweight, you know, fitness instructors either.
And so what I have discovered is [inaudible] and you know, in that way, you know, if anybody is looking for something that’s fun, I love having those and you get such great results ’cause there are more protein. You know, with the weight we just lean out so fast and there’s a whole way, of course, in using the product as maintenance and as you know, health but there’s also a way of using the product to lean out and you know, just shifting the way that I used the product has also supported me in being in the best shape that I’ve been in my life at 38. And so I encourage people to find some kind of exercise that’s fun for them. If they don’t like to walk and you don’t feel good when you walk, don’t walk. You know, find something that does work for you. You know, find a video tape that you like–or videotape or whatever, DVD that you like and do that, you know. Just find something that’s fun, you know, just like finding a way to do your business that’s fun and that works for you so that you can come to a place that’s fun. That’s helped me no be in the resistance that I’ve been in for my whole life around exercise.
>> Well Michele, this is Hilari. This will make you feel good because I thought you were like 30.
>> Oh, really?
[ Laughter ]
[ Simultaneous Talking ]
>> There you go, that made your Saturday.
>> Oh, my ego, thank you.
>> I think we’re all like around 50, right, when we’re in fact, 30? I like it, you know.
>> Yeah.
>> We’re getting younger every seven years and it’s kinda crazy.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay, so let’s talk about products and this is the question that I wanna really wrap up with because you guys have been so complete in really painting the picture here and this question is really for fun.
>> But what are you guys–what are your autoships consist of? What are you guys feed your little families as you, you know, feed your body, feed your family and grow your business? What’s on the autoship list for the month?
[ Simultaneous Talking ]
>> So actually I will start with Susan.
>> Okay. Well the first thing I would say to everyone is, as you’re listening to this, first figure out how much money you’re–how money your family is spending on groceries every month because Isagenix doesn’t cost you any money even if you never cycled one time or never got a PIB, although listening to Hilari and Michele, I don’t know how you just wouldn’t wanna go out in prospect. [Laughter] You wanna figure that out, okay and then you wanna take a good, hard look at that. Now because I wanna practice this, you know, that slight disclaimer and say, you know, my family uses everything. In Canada we’re not able to get some of the products like the Green–there was chunk of time where we weren’t able to get bars. So John Gray’s, but I do bring those back. So we really use absolutely everything. I’m very proud of this. My kids are Isababies that’s for, you know, another column and you know, we could talk about that but you know. So every single day, I’m doing at least two shakes. Chris is up. You should see him. He’s wet. He’s up to like four or five shakes a day with IsaPro and he puts IsaPro in Want More Energy and it’s just like pure protein and he’s just got these amazing muscles. He looks incredible. The kids all take a coat IsaLean bar for lunch. They all have their favorites. They all have a shake everyday, So you know, and the vitamins and on and on and on, Avery is at the age two, you know, where she is, you know, sort of growing past the kids essential so she’s utilizing for instance the omegas which are grate brain fuel, you know, for teenagers [laughter] and absolutely an IsaDermix. We use it all and so what Chris, you know, comes from a corporate background as an accountant, one of the things we’re just talking about yesterday when we were in the car is we’ve really don’t even–even thought we’re very grateful to God and John and Sharon, Jim and Cathy for creating Isagenix, we don’t even spend more despite all the products we’re using than we did even before with our grocery bills. So everything we make from Isagenix is an absolute bonus and I would encourage everyone to use it and I would say Kjersti it’d be great, you know, to do an IsaMom call from a product perspective in the near future as well.
>> Oh yeah, absolutely. We’ll count on it. I’ll be calling you.
[ Laughter ]
>> Okay. Now Hilari, what’s on your autoship grocery list for the month?
>> Ours is the same and we love the products and there’s so many different things, you know. Caden in the morning, sometimes he doesn’t want a shake and so what I do for him is–’cause he’s only two, he loves–when I take him out to the sitter, I cut up one of the chocolate peanut butter bars, those are his favorite, and cut them into little squares and put them on his backpack and he takes it with him and it’s so funny ’cause when he get there, there’s a little girl there and she like goes, “Bar, bar,” like she wants it.
>> Oh.
[ Laughter ]
>> So you know, the thing is it’s like the kids love it and I have a lady, that’s a good friend of mine, Brenda, and I think it’s so often. She has five kids and she said, “You know, it’s not a choice in our house,” like she said breakfast, you know, is–they don’t get the choices. And so she–they all have Isagenix. She said at first they didn’t love it ’cause their kids ranged from 16 down to–you know, she’s got a little one and she said, “But after they were on it, they realized how much they love the product.” So you know, my husband, he leave work at five in the morning and he works and he gets home about five at night. And so he takes just the shaker, the Isagenix shaker and he loves the shake, just water and shake. And he has at least one or two at work. And he does manual labor construction and if they can make somebody like that, you know, I would say, if he’s not hungry, no one else should be hungry on our products. And so he does it that way. You know, I have the, you know, the great opportunity to be at home. So I love mine, you know, blend it here at home but we use the bars, we use the Want More Energy in the summer, especially here in the Midwest, it gets so hot we use a lot more energy and you know, just everything, being pregnant and then having the babies. I love the calcium ’cause it’s so important for our bodies to have the calcium and the vitamin D. And you know, like Susan said, both of my children have used the product through my whole pregnancy and so, my kids–it’s amazing. You know, I know I can’t make any claims but it’s amazing, the health of my children, how they–you know, Caden is two, almost in two and half and no colds, no runny noses, you now, just healthy, you know, vibrant kid and I’m so grateful for the product that your dad’s created for us. So it’s amazing.
>> Yummy! I’m getting hungry for a chocolate coated peanut bar.
>> Hmm.
>> I’m telling you right now.
>> Yup.
[ Laughter ]
>> Those are my favorite too. Okay, Michele. And obviously, I know you said organic milk earlier. They are organic milk, they’re bought. They get to sit there and watch a little movie.
>> Yeah.
>> So obviously you’re–I’m sure that all of you women are incorporating organics, you know, from the grocery store as well in your diet but you know, what’s on your autoship for the month Michele?
>> Well my autoship is a, you know, a big value pack of the IsaDelights and then during the month I usually place like two or three other orders. I–[laughter] just a little tip If I have someone that’s enrolling that’s not buying a President’s Pak, I tend to buy a President’s Pak of some kind because that’s such a great way of saving money on the product. So that’s, you know, I–and I go–but we use every product. You know, my children has slim cakes and bars everyday, Want More Energy, IsaKid, IsaMune. Every single day I put FiberPro in their chocolate milk in the morning and at night. I put–you know, they have–they make smoothies with bananas and peach, organic yogurt and I put IsaPro in that also. And because my, you know, for some reason I guess I don’t make my shakes the way Jim [inaudible] is making ‘em. But my kids [laughter] sometimes it’s an argument with my 9-year-old about the shake but you know, my other two love them. They, you know, they have them everyday. But you know, as long as he’s having his bar and he’s getting FiberPro in his chocolate milk and you know, he has the IsaPro in his smoothies, I feel, you know, really, really good about everything that he eats.
You know, I do–we do have little arguments daily about IsaDelights. [Laughter] I usually give them like a half an IsaDelight or something, you know, like I don’t even know if I’m supposed to be doing this but you know, I’m sure it’s not any worse for you than McDonald’s French fries. So–and they also have their, you know, ounce of Cleanse every morning. They all do and you know, me, I have three to four ounces of Cleanse in the morning before I have, you know, any food and I have that three or four ounces at night before I get to bed. I’ve been doing that for a very long time, even before they started doing the PM/AM cleansing and stuff like that. So I use everything. There’s nothing I don’t use. You know, the greens, I–you know, my kids say, “Mommy, are you eating with us?” And I’m like, “I’m gonna eat with you but I’m gonna have a shake,” and they’re like, you know, and they’re like, “Mommy, every–you eat and 90 percent of what you eat is Isagenix.” I’m like, “Yeah, don’t I look great about it?” And they’re like, “Yeah,” you know.
[ Laughter ]
>> So I do–you know, I do am so grateful that I don’t have to worry like, you know, whether my kids are getting the nutrition they need from–just from food, you know, like yesterday I took Nathan to a birthday party and you know, on the way, you know, I made sure he had, you know, his favorite bar which is the, you know, the chocolate honey peanut and you know, an organic chocolate milk box on the way. So yeah, I don’t have to have a conversation with him about whether he’s gonna eat cake or he’s gonna eat pizza or whatever it is that they’re gonna serve because he’s not gonna be that hungry and it–and my kids are used to eating food that’s good for them. It doesn’t even taste that great but I don’t even have to micromanage that because as long as I send them full on Isagenix, [laughter] they’re good.
>> You don’t have to worry about them coming to temptation. I love that.
>> Yeah exactly. You know, [inaudible] like, “I want a birthday cake.” I’m like, “Fine, eat birthday cake.” You know, he takes four bites and he’s like, “This is good but I really don’t feel like eating anymore.” I’m like, “Don’t, you now.” I mean you know just–
[ Simultaneous Talking ]
>> You know what, I get a lot–I get a lot that, “Oh, this is so sweet.” My kids are like, “This is sweet.”
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. And you know, Nathan loves–you know, just finding what they like, you know. Noel loves the yogurt bars and so does Lilly. Nathan loves the chocolate bars, you know and the shakes. You know, Noel, I am working at, you know, basically the IsaPro smoothie and as a shake but you know, Nathan loves the chocolate with a big, you know, tablespoon of peanut butter in it. He loves it. You know, Lilly loves the vanilla with the greens in it, you know. So just finding what they really like, you know, is good and they, you know, some of them like the Orange Want More Energy, some of them like the Grape Want More Energy. But they all love the slim cakes and the new ones are just really a big hit in my house. So I have to get my cycles up even further so they can eat, you know, 10 dollars of slim cakes everyday.
[ Laughter ]
>> Oh, I love it. I know the slim cakes are gonna be really hard to keep away from the kids. They’ll be sneaking ‘em while you’re not looking.
>> Oh, they are. It’s crazy. They know how to open the packages now. I’m in trouble.
>> Oh no, oh no, yeah. Well I just–you know what? I just wanna thank you three women. You guys are just amazing. I think you’re amazing examples. You all are very spiritual and you certainly have counted your blessings on, you know, Isagenix blessing your life and providing such an opportunity and one of the things that I find that parallel through all of your stories is that you guys were all hungry for Isagenix and I don’t mean that like food wise. I mean you guys were really at a point in your life where you needed an opportunity, where you wanted an opportunity and you were all skeptics, you all completely resisted at first. I mean there was like several days and weeks that passed before you even said, “Okay, I’ll take a look.”
>> You know, and I think that that’s a very strong message to everybody that’s listening in this morning as people are approaching their prospecting list. And you know really it’s about finding the need and this is a whole another training, but I just, I wanted to bring those up into perspective. Not only are you all mommies, you’re all raising families, they’re young families but you all had an opportunity to take advantage of Isagenix right at the moment in your life when you really needed it the most. And certainly you’ve taken full advantage of it. You have not wasted the opportunity, you jumped right on to it and you have really, you know, seen a bountiful, you know field of production so to speak with your field, your leaders your team, and of course you know being able to prosper and stuff. I think it’s a wonderful thing and I just wanna thank all of you for being with us Susan, Hilari and Michele for sharing, opening up, letting us see what it’s like in your lives and–Anybody else, anything else you want to share in closing this morning?
>> It’s Susan, Kjersti. I would just love to say, you know, I work with a lot of moms and there is a different emotional energy there, because maybe you know it might be pregnancy hormones, maybe the–maybe wall kicking moment because you had this great day plan and you’re gonna do all these stuff and you’re child’s home sick or, you know, whatever the case is. Stay connected with what drives you. Keep it everywhere in your house. Have images have, you know, inspiring words. I–you know I heard about one young couple and they have like they put their vision board on the ceiling of their bedroom so they wake up in the morning, they see that, they have their goals right beside their front door so when they go out the door, they see the goals as they’re leaving. Keep what drives you so close to your heart and just know that you know Hilari, Michele, and myself, we’ve all had those challenging moments and those challenging days. That’s part of leadership. We didn’t just fall to 4 star, 5 star and 6 star, we didn’t fall there, it was that daily consistent effort. As you’re listening to this, I want you to think right now, what great mom can I call right now and connect her with the vision of Isagenix. Because I’ll tell you something, every single one of you listening to this call today, you can all be millionaires even if we never prospected outside of America or Canada. So that’s what I want to say. It was heavy on my heart to say that and just, you know, love to everyone and God bless everyone.
>> Kjersti, I would love to say that all you can do is all you can do and that all you can do is enough. And you know letting for me, letting go of perfection like Susan was saying comparing, letting go of perfection. Because perfection leads to procrastination, and that idea that I’m gonna be a millionaire but I’m gonna start tomorrow is one of the most insidious things that can affect our business. And just being aware that wherever we are, you know, at the grocery store, you know at your kid’s birthday party, you know like I had a great connecting with friends at the birthday party yesterday, you know, and–you know wherever I am, I’m meeting people. And people, this is about people. So it’s not like you have to have the thing in your mind like if I can’t wear a suit and I can’t go to this networking group, then I can’t do this business. We’re meeting people all the time and just, you know, kind of that really is good to me. When I let go of perfection, and just let go of procrastination and just be okay with who I am, the way that I am, and I don’t have to show people everything and I don’t have to be perfect but I can show people what I know, I can show people how I’ve done this for me and they’ll–and help them find a way that’s gonna work for them, honoring their values and their schedule. And also, whenever things are challenging, you know for me just realizing when things are most challenging, that’s when I had to get on the phone because if I didn’t get on the phone–You know I had a newborn, well for God’s sake, of course I’m gonna be prospecting the doctor and the nurses. Of course I’ve got a baby, of course I’m gonna prospect, you know. Or my mom’s in, you know, in the hospital, of course I’m gonna prospect. But, what if I need to be with her more, you know? Or, you know, my husband passed away, of course I’m gonna build this business. Like for God’s sake, you know my husband just passed away. You know, so making that connection instead of things that are excuses to not be in the business. So they become the reasons why we do the business today, not tomorrow.
>> Wow, absolutely. And I love that because a lot of what we do, there’s a lot of personal development growth going on in Isagenix and I think that that’s one of our, you know, main areas that we are focusing on out of the five. There are five main areas to help people become who they were really destined to be. So, I love what you just contributed. And Hilari, anything else that you wanna say in closing this morning? Hilari, are you with us? Did we lose Hilari? We did. Okay, well anyhow I just wanna thank all of you again for being with us, and especially those listening in and dedicating time out of your Saturday morning to be with us and to really help to look and search for these things that can take your business to the next level. And I do wanna remind everybody, this morning’s call has been recorded and it will be posted in your online library in your back office that as–and Susan, we’re talking about, we have podcasting, I’m so excited. It goes–isagenixpodcast.com, and there you can learn all about it. I mean what a podcast even is and how you can actually use these calls, you know, and listen to them when you are working out, when you are doing things all through your little iPod or your MP3 players, very cool. Very, very cool thing. So–and also too, I wanna bring to everybody’s attention starting next Tuesday, we are using a brand new number, so get a piece of paper and a pencil out right now and take this number down because you’re gonna be seeing it in all of our communications and back office, but you know just for convenience purposes the number is 712-432-0443. Again it’s 712-432-0443. And the listener code that you’re gonna be dialing into to listen to all of our same exact calls that we do Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays is 9227452 pound. Again it’s 9227452 pound. And we hope to meet you on Tuesday’s call. But again thank you Susan, thank you Michele, and Hilari for being with us this morning. I love you ladies, and you guys have a wonderful weekend.
