>> Good morning everyone, and welcome to our Saturday Morning Business Training with Isagenix. My name is Kjersti Cote, your host, and a pleasure to be here with all of you this morning. We’ve got some amazing guests on the line with us this morning. They’re going to be sharing quite a bit. So without further ado, I’d love to get started in introducing our amazing presenter, interviewer, this morning, Mr. David Wood. He is a master trainer, and we are so blessed to have him as part of Isagenix, part of the Isagenix family. I — just a little bit about David, for those of you who are brand new. I mean, obviously if you’ve been a part of Isagenix for a time and you’ve attended ICUs or gone to Top Achievers or an annual event, you’ve seen David on stage training, you’ve — if you’ve been to journey to the stage, enlightened training circle, obviously you’ve experienced in depth training with David, and he’s absolutely brilliant. A little bit about his background, he’s traveled, lived, and worked in over 40 different countries around the world. Starting as a very young lad all the way up until present.


He’s had a lot of different business experiences, from going door-to-door sales men to literally becoming the president and CEO of multimillion dollar companies. Like I said before, he is a master trainer. He was a major, top, top trainer for Top Potentials, which was a company founded by T. Harveger, and joined Isagenix a little over two years ago. We are very excited to have him with us. And I will tell you with all of the experience that he has gathered through his lifetime, he’s bringing that to the table with Isagenix, and directly and indirectly impacting us, inspiring us as associates to help us discover our greatness, which in turn makes the world a better place. And I would have to say that two — two of his absolute greatest accomplishments in life are his two handsome sons, Calvin, and Ben. And with that, good morning David, and welcome to the calls.


>> Thank you so much. When you finish that, I get that little welling of tears when you mention my kids. Thank you. Calvin was just 11 two days ago, so we have a big party planned here on Saturday with a big dance floor and we got a piñata, and all things are pointing toward this great party. And thank you so much. And Kjersti, I just want to say thank you for everything that you do. I know that we just saw each other at the university, and one thing that really strikes me every single time I see you is how — when we talk about an extended family, how this isn’t just work. It’s so easy, and I’ve been around marketing a long time, and I know what it is to write bad copy, I know what it is to say words to inspire people that are [Inaudible] took me a whole lifetime to discover how to say words that really connect with truth. And six words that I’m living by, and it’s taken me a long time to discover them, and I talk about them everywhere, the board table, everywhere, the six words that I think are the most powerful probably in the universe are tell the truth all the time. And I want to tell you the truth is you are a light. And a lot of people don’t know in this call that you gave up a kidney of yours for John [Inaudible] the formulator of these products, so that he could live, and live he does. And change life he does. And through you and through your gift of giving, I noticed you’re wearing a necklace around your neck, a little kidney shaped necklace around your neck at Isagenix University. So I want to personal thank you for that beautiful gift, and I just can’t tell you how many hundreds of thousands of lives have been affected by that one selfless act, so thank you.


>> Thank you so much, David. And back at you, as far as, you know, I’m so — I’m filled with gratitude just thinking about you. When I saw you at corporate the next day, like, on Monday, I’m like, I was so excited to see you. Even though we had just seen each other. It is, it’s a family that we all belong to, and I just — I love you like a brother and really am so grateful for all that you’ve done for me in helping me to become a better person. Over the last couple of years I’ve grown so much, as many listening have probably seen. And it’s just great.


>> Yeah, that — that’s really — when you talk about growth. And I think the guests we have on the call, really want to get to them, that’s the same feeling I feel is this whole idea around truth and being real, being able to show — Isagenix really epitomizes this ability to show up as you are, to be yourself, to discover your true potential, the greatness within you. But also show up as you are, with or without make up. Good days and bad days, having those grumpy moments, but just to be fun and open and allow your spirit out. And just for a couple — they met at a Tony Robins event. They really are crusaders for personal growth. And they are best friends. I’m saying is I don’t have any notes in front of me, I’m not going off on some task kind of thing, and this is what we’re going to do today. I just know and trust that when you get these types of people on a call it’s going to be a spark light, it’s going to be something really worth listening to. Because these guys, they walk the talk. They used to live in an apartment, and you know, Tony Robins was on the road these guys shared the apartment with him and really helped him bottom the man he is as far as — and effect that — the millions of lives that Tony has reached, and they have such deep respect. They have his phone number in their phone and they can call him any time, and again, you know, obviously over time those relationships start to diminish without seeing each other as much. But they truly carry that same vision that I think Tony carries. Tony is a remarkable human being, and you know, this guy was a professional footballer, you know, and this lady, you know, as she showed us at Isagenix Top Achievers, she made the mistake of showing me that she used to sing telegrams. And so I asked her to sing a telegram on stage. And as I say, when somebody is in touch with whom they are, then showing up is easy. And she immediately burst into a Christmas song she used to do as a singing telegram. So I want to welcome to the call these two remarkable rising stars that really have the — the face of Isagenix is this couple and the next couple we’re about to introduce. [Inaudible] you on the call?


>> We certainly are, David. Thank you.

>> Well, I’m just going to introduce our next couple before we get back to you, but thank you so much. And Robin, I’m not going to make you sing this morning, only because I think the dance goes so well with it, and I don’t want to miss the dance. But this next couple, I’m so fortunate to spend time in their home. And that’s what I say, you know, I’ve got a number of leaders coming up to my home in the next week. Lenny Evans is up here next week; Susan Hart is staying here in a couple of weeks. But you know I believe that, you are part of this extended family is that the homes are open to each other. And I’m really fortunate to have been to this couple’s home, home schooling five kids, you know, an ex-police officer and his lady, anyone who saw this lady on stage at Top Achievers, it was one of the highlights, purely, purely one of the highlights of the entire event.


I swear from every single person that was in that room, this whole team, these four people totally captivated the audience, and really showing them what it’s like to be a rising star. What are the attributes of a rising star? And when I look at this couple, you know, it truly is, you know, five kids home schooled, you walk into their home, you just feel embraced, you feel warm, you feel totally — it’s just like you’re snuggling into a warm bed, it’s so beautiful. As I say, an ex-police officer, Patty was doing a massive, in a year, she’s just risen. But just incredible people, again, who really, again, the new face — [Inaudible] new face, but the new face of possibilities in Isagenix. So I’d like to bring to the call Patty and Herb, are you there?


>> Yes, I’m here David.

>> Yep, we’re here.

>> Let me start with you. Patty, I’m going start with you right off the bat. Patty, home schooling five kids. Everyone — you know, [Inaudible] in this industry people think they can write a whole list of reasons why things can’t get done. And a lot of people seem to write goals, but they seem to have this sub conscious list of you know, this, I’m business, this, that, whatever. How are you doing it, how are you home schooling these kids and doing what you’re doing. I know you’re having home parties where you’re having 80 to 100, 120 people showing up in your home on a weekly basis. How are you doing it?


>> By the grace of God. I really think so, David. It’s interesting because I just talked to somebody earlier today, and I said, you know, somebody just called me up to be somewhere tomorrow, and she called to see what time we would be getting there. And I said that’s tomorrow — already. And [Inaudible] five kids. I didn’t even — at the time I didn’t even know what we were going to be doing, as far as how that was going to be handled, as far as who was taking care of them. So I think the answer to that question in a roundabout way is I just making a decision and do it and then everything falls into place. I make it happen. We plan airfare, we’re going places before I know what’s going to happen with whose handling what and whose going to watch the children and all that, unless we’re taking them with us, of course. And I think the answer is we decide — I decided there’s nothing that was going to get in my way.


When I look at a compensation plan, when I look at Isagenix, Isagenix is a company with every attribute to be the next multibillion dollar company. And I looked at — that’s coming from over 20 years background in the industry, I looked at this and said you know what, this is unbelievable. Every piece of the puzzle is in place. And so as I looked at this and I saw the compensation plan, getting to the top of that compensation plan was a decision. It was something that must happen. It was not something that maybe will be. When we decide, we follow through [Inaudible] I think that’s the answer. Just making a decision and not allowing any of the, you know, hundred thousand excuses, and certainly I’ve got plenty that I could pull from. If I wanted to make excuses.


>> Yeah, you have that list. I just want to shoot over to Striker. I’m going to — I’ll be weaving around and jumping from question to question. This is something that you know, one thing I noticed with Patty and her and you and Robin, I get a deep sense that you guys are best friends. And that you developed over years, you know, as a couple you seem to have this friendship. And how do you — talk about the friendship, but talk about how you sort of aligned this vision together, how are you doing this together, and how are you setting goals together and achieving together, and of course out of the [Inaudible] call I’d say that you’re the one that’s going to — as far as, you know, out there exuberance, [Inaudible] have that personality. But you know, you’re not that guy, you’re not that guy who is out there really, you know, when you speak, people listen, but you have that quieter energy as well. So I’m not saying that everyone has to have the same personality. But share about how you developed this friendship together and how are you using that to build together and set goals together.


>> David, thank you so much. You know, people often ask me about Robin. They’re like, is she like that all the time? And I go, yes. I mean, she is just truly enthusiastic. And I joke with everybody. I say I’m glad I got her when I did. I took her off the market and she’s mine now.
[ Laughter ]


>> But I think what it comes down to, and I know for some men too, maybe their self esteem, they feel like maybe I should be leading. Well, we found out — we find out where is Robin good, and then where am I good. And then that’s how we work it into our schedule. The things that she can master, is the things that are easy for her, the things that can really Excel us in one direction that she’s got the skills for, that’s how we plan. We say okay, you’ll do this, and this is my set of skills, this is where I can support you or this is where I can lead you. And so we just define those roles, if you will, and what happens is it just blends together so well, and after a while in the course of being married you can also then second guess what the person will do, and that makes it easier too. Because I know where I can count on her and what she’s going to do, and then hopefully because she’s here too, she knows where she can count on me and it’s almost like sub conscious, if you will. And that’s what we developed, and that’s what we apply to the business. We know what our goals or and then define our roles, and then just attack.


>> That’s great. And then by her — I noticed on stage at Top Achievers, and again being around you and Patty at home and are the getting a deep sense and watching you with your kids, and I always say I watch people off stage more than on stage, and that’s how I got to fall in love with Kathy and [Inaudible] watching catch prepare dinner for her son Eric, and just the [Inaudible] after a full day at the office and just, you know, really, just that deep sense of love that she has for her family and who she is as a person. But her, I noticed to stage there, how, you know, Patty is so full of passion and really could ignite any room anywhere in the world. I mean, even if someone didn’t speak the language they’re going to watch Patty and they’re going to be inspired to go to another level. I watched you just how quietly and patient you are, because you’re equally as passionate. I mean, you turn — you turn on in exactly the same way, but you give so much space to each other. And I suppose what I’m going to ask you are this. You know, you had just set out on a business before Isagenix where you were investing time and money, and really putting a lot on the line to go in one direction. And suddenly you change. You see Isagenix, you’ve been around the industry, and you’re consulting. You have a great name. I mean, Patty just released a book which is phenomenal, I have the book. You know, and so just talk about this journey, where you’re going one direction and then suddenly as a whole family you change directions, and you see something in Isagenix that you have not seen before, and you go for it. Can you share a little bit of that story for us?


>> Yeah. The scary story. I mean, when you are presenting — presented with an opportunity when you feel like you’re focusing in one direction and suddenly you have to change directions and your livelihood is at stake and the livelihood of your family is at stake, it’s a scary thought. And it was for me, 22 months ago. We joke about it, that I told Patty, stay focused on what we do, not any of these companies do, what we do. And she came back with her enthusiastic passion and said no, this is company is going to be a multibillion dollar company, and I don’t think very many people are aware of it. And today we feel the same way, David. We truly feel that Isagenix has the capacity to be a multibillion dollar company, and what’s keeps us motivated and driven is that we use competitiveness to our advantage, and that we know millions of people are going to be exposed by the — to the opportunity and by the results people are getting, they’re going to be exposed to the results and they’re going to want to try it. And it’s just a matter of how many of those millions of people can we have hear about it through our team. And it keeps us passionate and it keeps us excited, but in the beginning that was a decision that was a very tough decision for me. And so you know, as the story [Inaudible] she can order some products provided she didn’t tell a single person about the company or the product line. Because until we tried the product we can’t be enthusiasm and authenticity talk about the results of the product and develop passion for it, and so we got the product and we tried it, and we were off to the races from there. I lost 4 inches off my waist on the nine day program that took me 14 days to complete because I didn’t have any coaching or training, and you know I still did it. And I felt phenomenal, and to this very day I still feel phenomenal.

I want to echo one thing that Striker just said. Striker is very fortunate to have a partner like Robin, and I’ve got to tell you, I can exhibit that patience on stage, but I have total confidence in Patty. I tell you, there’s nobody in the world that I’d rather be partners with in this program than Patty [Inaudible]. I mean, I live with her, she’s by best friend, I love her to death. But when it comes to a business-building environment, I totally feel confident to leave things in her hands and get things done. I mean, this business does not require Herb [Inaudible], Patty [Inaudible] to function when Patty [Inaudible] is there. She can do it all on her own. So we do it together, and we have fun with it, David. It’s changed our lives financially and it’s going to change the lives of many people, and you know you talk about rising stars, well; there are a lot of people out there that are raising stars right now that will literally blow our number out of the water in the same timeframe that we did it in. We consider ourselves a bit of a pioneer, pioneers for our team. Not for the company, for our team. And the team just follows our example. So we raised the bar to a certain level, and we continue to find examples of people on our team that continue to push the bar further and further up, and you know, take on the Roger Banister effect where people didn’t think that the four minute mile could be run, and the human body didn’t have the capacity or the endurance to do it. And all of a sudden Roger Banister did it and what, 17 people the next year did it, because they figured out other people did it. Well, that same philosophy and that same concept is holding true on our team. We’re watching people rise up and it just raises the bar for the new people who come onto the program. It’s exciting times that are happening right now, David. I mean, it’s what, a month after Top Achievers, and we’re seeing our best weeks ever, our best weeks ever in the last two weeks. It’s exciting.


>> I must admit I was looking at the daily sales from yesterday, and it’s remarkable, from yesterday. I wanted to just say something, again, for those new people listening who don’t have a relationship with the four of you is how deeply you just said, Herb, when you talk about the respect and the trust and the faith that you have, it’s evident. I spent a lot of time with you two, and it’s absolutely evident. So it is, again, very, very special. And Robin, you know, we talk about rising stars, we talk about, you know, when — the five of you on stage at Top Achievers. As you looked out you would concur exactly with what Herb just said this company is just full of rising stars. Some of them are just starting to ignite; some of them are just starting to see it. But there are a lot of people who listen to this call who are brand new, Robin. I wonder what would you say to a brand new person listening in right now, and share a little bit of what advice you would give to that new person, you know, where they’re just sort of — some of them are tip toeing in, and some of them, their mind is full of can I do this. The big question, and really they haven’t got it completely inside of them yet. [Inaudible] deep belief. So what’s your thought for them, and what can you show them, Robin?


>> Well, thank you for the opportunity to share. Good morning Herb and Patty. I just want to tell you guys that we totally look at Isagenix like a gift. If you were at Top Achievers you heard a little bit of our story that we were kind of in a financial hole, if you will. I would say we would have had to make money to be broke. And that was a unique place for us. We had not — we have had multiple six figure income in the past, but due to circumstances we found ourselves in a financial valley, and so we totally looked at Isagenix as a gift, just like Herb and Patty said. We saw this, and we saw something special in Isagenix that we did another see in any other opportunity that had been presented to us in the prior — past 18 months or so, people had sent us, you know, opportunities, and I promptly just threw them in the trash. But someone sent me the product, and the product got me excited, just like Herb said. So I will tell you as soon as we decided to do this, we didn’t hope it was going to work out, we didn’t wish that it was going to work out. We had certainty. And I think that most people have the idea that certainty is a feeling. It is not. It is a decision. And we created certainty within ourselves. It kind of fostered those feelings of excitement, but quickly we got ourselves to Isagenix events, just like people getting on these phone calls, I would go down to my back office and listen to every single thing so I could, you know, put my ears around, watch the Isagenix University on line, we got with the winners quickly. And that had a huge impact on our belief, and our ability to do it. And you know, just what we said before, we just got into action.


We were so excited about this gift. I love to use simple, little examples, and one of them I said, what if I paid you to hand out $100 bills. How easy would that job be? You know, just to run around and say, hey, here’s $100. Wouldn’t that be a fun way to make a life, a fun way to make a living? That’s what we do at Isagenix. I don’t look at it, you know, I’m trying to, you know, recruit someone for my benefit. I truly believe that this is God’s gift to us, and the way it transformed us, I don’t want to cry this early in the morning, but I can tell you, looking around our home, the home that we were two months behind in just 19 months ago, in the last, what would you say, Striker — in the last month we’ve done, you know, a huge renovation on this home and transformed it with cash. We’ve not charged one thing. And it’s — its amazing. We’re now living in our dream, and thanks to Isagenix, and our ability to see it before it was visible, know what I mean [Inaudible] we saw that. That’s what I would say to that new person, it’s free to dream, it’s free to believe. You’ve got a company full of people who love you and want to support you. That’s one thing, also, I get, David, when I go to the events, when someone stands up and you’re working with them in the audience and you — you really engage the whole audience to love and believe in that person. I mean, that is so priceless, and that company gives that to each one of us before we’ve earned it, quote unquote. So I just think that you know, for the new people, count your blessings. You won the lottery of life, so to speak. That’s how I look at Isagenix. And get knowledgeable, like being on these calls. And then get into action. Who cares who says yes and who says no? Our job is just to tell people with passion, and there are people looking for us. It’s just a matter of time until we find those people.


[ Multiple voices speaking ]

>> Thank you Robin. And so Patty, when we talk about your experience around the industry and you know about the culture and [Inaudible] written and really sort of left the actual field to just go to really coach people in this industry. What — and I would say that one of the big beliefs that, you know, if we talk about the five major beliefs that, you know, people really need to become unshakeable and to become succeed over time, where they become magnetic. There’s a difference. In the beginning you know, as you get into those beliefs, you’re going out and you are asking people — I think that there’s a point of attraction where you start to attract people. They just start to come to you with their belief that there’s that certainty. But there’s something about you when I look in your eyes, and I think it’s more than any other person that I met, it’s your love of this industry. And I was wondering if you could share a little bit [Inaudible] because again, these new people on the call right now, why is it you’re in love with this industry and why do you continue to be in love with it as it’s the first day.


>> I will — I will answer that. And I will also say that there has been a time in my life when I said I would never do it again. So we’ve had our ups and we’ve had our downs. And I remember that point in life when I said I would never do this again, because I was frustrated. And it was companies who were letting me down, and I discarded every piece of anything, in contact I ever had, signed things from mentors, everything I had went in the garbage. And I share that because there are people out there that have been through the wringer with companies. And that’s why the reason we were coaching was because we couldn’t find a company. We had set up five set criteria that had to rank a ten in order for us to take action on this as an opportunity again. And the five set criteria’s, a coaching client paid our company for coaching, and I went in to evaluate this company Isagenix, which by the way I had never heard of, which was odd, because we get prospected into everything. People want to fly us to look at this and fly us around the country, and all these great offers. But they were always lacking in usually more than one of these criteria. The first being the company and its stability. The company, of course, Isagenix being debt free, the owners had to understand the industry.

We all know that Jim Hoover took a company from another to a billion dollars in 27 months in the early ’80s, that’s huge. Kathy’s been in the field, been at the top of three companies, this is huge. So we’ve got people behind us in a team that knows the industry. Number two is the product. And the fact that they must be consumable, unique is a bonus factor, emotional is a home run. Do you know this is the first time in 20 years that we’ve been in this industry that we have true networking. We have actually true networking where I tell people, if you’re just here to learn the about the products and the benefits of the system and losing some unwanted pounds and inches, you’re not interested in the business, please know you do not have to tell everybody about this. And I say that full well knowing they can’t do that. For the first time ever — that’s because emotional, that third element of the product category that we had established is in effect, and we all know the stories. It’s unbelievable.


We have stories on our own young team. Here we have a team, 19, 20 months, I don’t remember how long now. It was May 2, 2007 that we pulled the trigger on this as an opportunity. And you know , we just grew quickly. We grew to five star in just ten months. I tell you, it’s just such an incredible thing. Well, what’s happening here is on your young, young team, really, we have people who have lost 100 pounds — we’ve got a 100 pound club. This is unbelievable. The two, the second, the product, the whole category was ranking ten plus. The third area was the compensation plan, and when we looked at the compensation plan we saw how lucrative it was and how simple, two teams, how simple is this. But every negative of a binary they’ve we moved. So I was really fired up about the compensation plan. And now as, you know, we’ve been involved here and many people on your team, we all just got our 1099 last week — it’s unbelievable. We’re watching people who have never done anything like this in their lives in the six figure range. How can this be. It’s because of what we saw from the very beginning in the compensation plan it’s coming true, coming to fruition. We’re watching it as a testimony to what we saw. So the compensation plan is so simple, it’s lucrative.


The fourth area is the training and support. Never really concerned us that much because that’s what we were doing, but second to none. Training and support here with you at the helm here, David, it’s [Inaudible] and then fifthly, the timing. The whole element of the timing with these companies, and you know that it’s [Inaudible] Harvard and Yale, and the Horton Business School is teaching, that all companies go through four stages of growth, foundation or formulation, concentration or momentum, and stability, and you don’t want to get involved in these types of companies too young, because 80% fail in the first two years. You don’t want to get involved with them — in fact, 1 in a 1,000 makes it to five years. You don’t want to get involved with them too late because your profit [Inaudible] ideally you want to get involved with them when they’re set to go from small to big. And so that’s — I’m looking at this and I’m saying to myself you’ve got to be kidding me, I never heard of this company before, Isagenix. And I looked into it, every piece of the puzzle was in place. Everything was a 10.


For those of us that know, you know, know us better, they know that we buy organic, we’re into health and fitness, we’ve been in the gym, we’re gym rats, you know, it’s just something we lived by. So when I scrutinized this company, I scrutinized it because I didn’t want to have to come out of my office and tell Herb I was getting excited about something — I was really looking for a reason to just coach this client. I didn’t want to be doing this. I wanted to look for a reason. And kind of a little scared to come out of the office, and I knew he was going tell me to stay focused. I was just finishing the edit of that book, and I knew he wasn’t going to be happy with me coming out telling him, David, this company — stay focused, right, right. And [Inaudible] later I finally said David, this is the next billion dollar company. I am not going to miss it. So we took action. But it was products that I really — I mean, you know what, you look at them, it’s the finest super food on the face of the planet. There is nothing like what our company has in products. I mean, look at it. You’ve got to be kidding me. If people just put a shake in their body once a day, and people complicate it, but I tell you, if people just put a shake in their body for the next — forever, their body will become more alkaline, it just starts to feel better. You know , I just — it’s just so simple. Everything is in place.


>> Yeah, [Inaudible] tell you what, attracting the quality of people, when I look at Jimmy Smith, you know, when we say could we have a better number one income earner, I was on a call to Australia last night, doing regular calls in Australia, and you know, the gentleman came on and said that he called — Jimmy Smith called him back, he’s not in Jimmy’s team, called him back at midnight and coached him for an hour. And he went out there and he recruited two people right away, just give them a simple formula how amazing is that, I think, that we have that. But I think one of the things about the integrity of the people that we’re attracting is when you said yes, you know, you really could have selected anywhere in the company to go, but the integrity of you and Herb, the person who showed this to you, you went in that team, you never asked where it was in the binary, whether it was inside, outside, the question was you just accepted it. It came to you as it came to you. And I think that really is again a remarkable part of the story that very few people know. Striker, I’m just going to sort of come over to you, new people again, listening in on the call, what is the most common question you get asked from these new people, and what is this sort of — what is the way that you, someone listening right now, they’re hearing you guys, and you know how people make up stories. Well, of course, you know, they’re gym rats and they eat organic food already, they’re already halfway there, they’re consultants in the industry, of course they’re going to succeed. You know how people’s minds make up stories. What — what — where do you go, Striker, when you get these people coming in, where are you leading them and what is some of the advice you give to them right off the bat.


>> One thing that I tell them is this, it’s a proven system. And if they’re seeing some people can the results that they want do they believe that they can get them too. And so you know, Lenny does this so masterfully that all you really need is the belief. And what I like about that, that’s just a feeling of certainty. And I tell them then that these people are all different, whoever they may, whether it be — I just love listening to Patty and Herb. But they don’t have to be like them. As a matter of fact, probably their style would probably reach people that maybe Herb and Patty wouldn’t reach, for whatever reason. And we’ve all got our niche, and that’s the beauty of this. And of course we really encourage them to come to events so that they can see the diversity of our company and that the many faces that are put on there that people go wow, I can identify with her or with him. So that’s what I did say to new people, be who you are. That’s now you’ll be successful. And also I love to ask them, are they teachable. Because one thing I found out, you know, when we were working for Tony, was modeling success. And a lot of people just look at the physical, and they think, I’m doing that, I’m doing that. But I help them get the belief, whether it be in the products, the industry, or the company, and get that anywhere in the back office too.


We’ve got tons of recorded conference calls and webinars to help them with that. But then they also want them to know there are systems [Inaudible] simple and we just heard from Kathy Hoover, it’s just A, B, C; 1, 2, 3. I let them know if they just follow the syntax like dialing a phone number, if you get the digits in the right order, boom, you can have success. And I lay that out for them. And once they seat a little bit of success, that’s by big point is just show them a couple of wins, no matter how big in the beginning. It’s very easy for them to say, you know what, I can do this too. I can do this. That’s what I would say, is we don’t want you to be a clone. I’m glad you’re the way you are. I want you as you are. If you’re teachable, I can show you. So that’s what I would tell everybody listening that you can do this, and we need you just how you are.


>> That’s great. And Herb, when I think of you, again, one of the great — I’m always inspired when I hear you talk about action. It’s almost like if people knew what you knew, they wouldn’t sleep. It’s like every cell in your body seems to scream out to anyone standing in front of you how simple this is, and you’ve got just got to take some action. Like, why, why aren’t you doing more. There’s just something about you. Let’s talk about that. What kind of action, again, brand new, we talk about how much how fast, or we talk about fast and faster, George always loves that. Do you want it fast, or do you want it faster. And you know, we’ve seen so many models, yourself, you know, to become a multiple six figure income earner in your first year because of people like you say, the Roger Banister effect who are already eclipsing your numbers, and eclipsing, almost doubling, and you know there’s going be people coming behind that and doubling it again. We keep having these Olympic Games, how can we break another record. But we keep breaking records. So the question is, Herb, let’s talk about action. You know, someone wants this, and what kind of competition are they going to be and how do they make this decision about how fast, how much, how quickly do they want these things. Let’s talk about that a little bit.


>> Oh man, you’re getting me fired up, and you know you’re doing that intentionally, aren’t you.
>> You know why, David, because it’s a simple business. I mean, we complicate it, but it’s simple. You want to get into action, get the products into your body. Really, get the products into your body, because without a testimonial, without an experience, the business is very difficult to do. But what I found is that 99.9999% of the people who get the product into their body get a result. Now some of them, a small minority, a very small amount of people, don’t get a very positive reaction because they’re going into the detoxification process until — those are the people I love speaking to. And I use some tough love on the people that I coach, I really do. I had a lady who tried to quit on me this week, and she tried to quit on me this week. And she tried to quit on me through a text message through my cell phone. And so I called her right up and I said I am not letting you quit that easily. What, are you kidding me? You — when we made a covenant with you, we promised each other 90 days to get the results. So you’re not quitting that easily. The truth of the matter is you’re going through a process that your body enjoys. It likes getting rid of the funk that you’ve put into it over the years, and over time, I would say over the next three to five days, you’re well beyond that. You’re 99% of the way there, toward the finish line. Why quit now. That’s the challenge with most people in life. They get, you know, my mentor told me this 22 years ago. [Inaudible] challenge with most people is they’ll work harder and harder and harder. And he put his finger on the end of a 90 degree coffee table. They work so hard and hard and hard — he gets to the end of the coffee table — and then they quit. And then he moved his finger right around the corner, when success is right around the corner. And so sometimes this business requires us pushing people to take more action, to stay the course. Because the truth of the matter is, the products are changing people’s lives, physiologically speaking. And what happens when people get results, those results turn into referrals. They get excited about it, they start to talk about it naturally, authentically, passionately from deep down within. People say what scripts you use. Forget the scripts. Use what’s in your heart and share that.

If you don’t have it in your heart, just walk around with a big old smile on are your face and people will say what you so happy about are. Then you can tell them. You can tell them what happened to you, and they’ll say I want to try that. You did what, eating chocolate? Oh, absolutely. Well, how can I do it. I can set up an account for you. You see, we teach our team there are no signing people up into this program. We get that word out. [Inaudible] we do coach our team every single day. We tell them words to get rid of and words to take on. For example, signing people up. I hate that sentence. I hate the thought of being signed, personal. But I love enrolling on a good team. I love being a part of a team — I love being a team member of a fast-growing team. I’m all in for that, I hate going to meetings. We meet with people every single week, about 60 to 80 people every single week. But you know what, we don’t call them meetings, want to know what we call them? Briefings. There’s something subconsciously that happens in a person’s mind when they go to a briefing, they think it’s going to be brief, and people like being brief. So we teach people the three B’s: be brief and be gone. You don’t need to overwhelm them with the information, your testimony will actually be enough to heighten their desire for what you have and they will let you know what they want to do from there. And so it’s just a matter of continuing to do that on a daily basis.
We’ve seen some incredible things happen right now, you know, I talked to some people, blah, blah, and blah. And I’m like, why don’t you see this the way we see it. What is it. Why don’t you — why don’t you believe the way we believe it. Hey, we’re making a [Inaudible] with the program. And we believed it from day one. 14 days later after using the products, we’re like getting out of the way, we’re going to do this. And we’ll take on whoever wants to come on this ride. And we still continue to function and operate in that capacity. Everybody who’s listening to the call [Inaudible] millions of people out there that have not heard this message, they haven’t heard it. And what you tell them, what’s going on with people who say I’d like to try that. And invite them in, and don’t complicate it and say start with some product, let’s get you rocking and rolling, see how you feel, and then you can share that enthusiasm with the next person. But understand this, this company will grow to be a multibillion dollar company. A multibillion dollar a year company with literally millions of people who enroll as active reps with the company. You know, most people know there are only a couple hundred thousand active reps with the company right now. That’s going to — and we did $250 million with a couple thousand reps. What’s going to happen when we put on 2 to 3 million reps. How big is the company going to grow. And so my message to our team is that captive vision, because in my estimation and this is my opinion and Patty stands behind me, we happen to believe that Isagenix has all the ingredients to be the next Herbal Life, the next [Inaudible] the next [Inaudible] as big as those companies.


We have the ingredients right now. Five years, ten years from today, we’ll all be able to rewind the hands of time and look back at a call like today and say you know what, I was there when they were saying that. Now the company is a multibillion dollar a year company, and you’ll be able to say I took action, or I sat on my laurels and I watched that activity occur, and boy I’m kicking myself today. And so take action, people, on a daily basis. Daily.


>> No, not Nelson Stone, Bill Wheeler, I’m sorry. Dr. Bill Wheeler. And he told this story, a passionate story that actually brought tears to my eyes. Talking to a former New York State trooper, and I will tell you in humility, I cry a lot. When I hear something that’s riveting and emotional, that’s what moves me. Emotion moves me. Technical things don’t move me very much. Facts don’t move me very much. But when I hear emotional stories I get moved to take action.


He tells a story about a friend of his who was a pro-football player. I don’t know if you heard of this if you’re listening to the call for the very first time. But Bill Wheeler was a consultant for many, many professional sports teams, and he was a consultant for a few presidential cabinets. And you know, in nutrition. He had a professional football player call him who was a very good friend of him, around he said, Doc, you know, the doctors are over here telling me I got [Inaudible] and I got to lose 20 pounds. He was on vacation, I believe, as he told the story, [Inaudible] and he says I will be back from vacation right around the New Year, enjoy your thanks giving and enjoy your Christmas, and we’ll get together on this program in the New Year and we’ll get those 20 pounds off of you very fast. All right, [Inaudible] I’m looking forward to it. Phone hangs up, he enjoys his vacation. While he’s on vacation Christmas day he sees his friend on the news, a picture of his friend, with two dates. Birth date, and the date of death, and it was Christmas day. How devastated do you think he was by that. All he needed to do was really lose 20 pounds. And you know, that is a story that moved me, because it made me understand that I don’t have time to wait to talk to the people I know.


I don’t have time to wait to tell the people that I love, my family members, my friends, people that I’ve been in contact with, that I have, you know, feelings about. I don’t have time to wait to tell them about this program. Now they may choose not to take advantage of it, but at least it removes my responsibility. I’m not going to be held accountable for the actions that I did not take by taking the actions. And so you know, [Inaudible] touching and its riveting, by the way, his friend’s name was Reggie White. He was a professional line backer for the Green Bay Packers, hall of fame. And that’s the story. I mean, if that’s not moving enough for people to take action I don’t know what is, Dave.


>> No, exactly. Yeah. I mean, we talk about emotion, rob and I want to sort of come over to you. You know, when we look at everything we’re hearing right now, we’ve got new people on the line right now listening, and I’m going get this call sent over to the different countries around the world to really listen to the four of you share, because it really is — everything is here, everything is in this call, everything we need to know is right here. You know, we talk about simplicity, we talk about emotion, we talk about taking action, you know, about those simple five things, you know, we’re measuring an opportunity that there’s only five measurements there, and we measure plus 10 in all the categories, right? But Robin, when we talk about — when we talk about this brand new person again, and we talk about you sitting there saying you’re living in your dream, there’s something else going on. A lot of people think they have to have money, they have to have the success and the millions, you know, before they can find happiness. And you know, I was watching you and I could see the depth of friendship, I can see when you and Striker are around people, I can see this genuine depth of connection. Talk about that. Talk about this journey [Inaudible] talk about this extended family, talk about this journey, and the journey to the money. Because the money is only this small part, and there’s this other part. I mean, you’re already living in this dream and you’ve just been around this company for a very short space of time. Just share a little bit about that, would you.


>> Wow, just listening to everybody talk, I am so ready to get out there. I’m like, when can this call be over because there’s people I need to talk to. Thank you guys for inspiring me. That’s just what I was saying. We really believe, Striker and me, even in our darkest hour we saw each other as our best asset, and we have a deep spiritual faith as well. We knew that you know, God said he would never leave us. You know, we tried to not look at circumstances, we never owned our circumstances. And I think that everything happens to us for a reason. I think that we went through some financial struggles right before we got this amazing vehicle in our life called Isagenix that can literally not just give people a band aid, but totally transform the destiny of their life. Let’s face it, money changes thing as. And when you have money, when good people have money, they do good things with it. I’ll tell you something, Striker and I made a decision, and we talked about it, you know, we said oh, this would be a good idea. But about a month ago we went on a week long vacation for my birthday, and we didn’t watch the news. And I was a journalism major in college, and so you know, not only do I love the news, I wanted to give the news. So we didn’t watch the news for a week, and then we decided it’s time. Let’s turn off the news.


I will tell you that in this last month it has been such a joy. Now do we still know things are happening out there? Absolutely. A friend of mine called me — oh, there was a plane crash. Thanks for letting me know. I mean, it — it didn’t matter that we don’t — you know, we know what’s happening out there. And I think people are so bombarded with bad news that people are so — to harness those excited feelings, we’re constantly hearing about how bad things are. You know what, things aren’t bad. [Inaudible] told you they’re having great weeks, we are having — this is going to be, I will tell you this, the best week we had in our entire career. We’re having it right now, we’re in the middle of it. And it’s so incredibly exciting. And I think people aren’t concerned as much about the economy as they’re concerned with their own economy.


Speaking of that, here’s what we’ve been able to do with this business. I went right to my mom and dad, Ron and Joy Blackman, because I wanted them to get the product in their body. I love my parents, and I want them to have a long and happy life. So that was my first motivation. Three hours of wearing them down. And we hadn’t even enrolled in the company yet. Somebody had sent me this product, I had it in my body for a day, I knew there was something different about it, and I wanted this feeling for my mom and dad. And you know, last year they made over six figures in Isagenix too. So I mean, just think about that. Not only have I given my mom and dad an amazing gift to transform their, you know, latter years on the planet, they’re going to be here for a long, long time. But also financially in their retirement years, they’ve got this huge extra chunk of change. They were already doing well, but now doing even better. Going to the other end of the spectrum we’ve got our 23-year-old son Josh involved in the business, and he’s been able to quit his job and he’s in the process of moving back from California to Texas to sit under our tutelage for a year to really learn this industry. But he knows is, you know, probably at about $50,000 a year, at 23 years old. Because of this incredible opportunity. Because it’s not hard. If a 23-year-old kid can get it, anybody can do it. And he’s just [Inaudible] dumped it out. And now had he gets back here with me and Striker and under our belief and our, you know, in our energy every day, there’s no telling what he can do. We wanted this for the people that we love. That’s one thing too, that we love about this business is that network marketing, you do it with your network.


Who would you want to go offer an amazing opportunity to transform your body and your finances to. Do you want to just go to strangers, you know, set up a table at the bridal show and talk to those people, or do you want to, you know, give it to the people that you love. And so that’s the beauty of this business. If everybody in the company just shared with a handful of their personal friends and family and those people turned around and shaped it with those, you know, handful of friends and family, you know, the next thing you know, there’s thousands of people on board on your team. And no one stepped much outside their own circle of influence to find those people. They are right in our life. We don’t want to be the one — heard an interesting story yesterday kind of along the same lines that Herb was sharing, what if there was a cure for a, you know, incurable disease that we came up with, but we were just too, you know, we didn’t have the time to tell you about it, and your mother just passed from that disease. What would — how would we feel if we knew we had the answer. And I just lost all worry about what people think about me and I’m totally focused on them. And that really takes all the [Inaudible] off of our back. It is not about us any more. It’s truly about the people that God puts in our path. And I just ask him to give me the courage and the confidence to say what they need to hear, speak from our heart.


I love what Herb said, it’s not a major decision. I just bought a pair of shoes the other day that were around a couple hundred dollars. I didn’t need a webinar or you know, any information to purchase these shoes. I saw them, I liked them, and I bought them. And I think the decision to get involved, [Inaudible] take the product and tell a handful of people about it, is not a major life decision. And I think that people, you know, the simpler we keep it, the more passion that we express to people, and the more determination that we have in our own willingness to succeed and do whatever it takes. I mean, you know, the better it is for everybody that comes in contact with us. So —

>> I just want to share something on that. You know, one of the remarkable things sitting at the senior executive table, you know, we’re talking 70 years from now, we’re talking past our life times as far as setting up a company that succeeds us and really the grooming process. And one of the things that the millionaire circle this year was looking at families grooming their children and their families to take over their businesses, and to be a part of their business, to become masters in this industry. And Jimmy Smith, all of his 7 children, he’s got 28 grandchildren. But his entire family is being groomed. I mean, of course [Inaudible] already multi, multi, millionaires with Isagenix, but this grooming process which I think again — and Patty, I’m going to come over to you because of your experience in this industry, you know, I start talking about what if someone listens to this great call, they’re obviously feel inspired, [Inaudible] get off the call right now and go do something, because that’s the kind of call this is. I’m sure [Inaudible] come in a second and just take over the reins as we sort of [Inaudible] at the end of the call. But what do we do here, how do we take any information Patty, and do something with it. What are the steps they need to do finishing this call, so they know clearly, what they need to do in order to get what they want.


>> It’s — you know, as I said [Inaudible] we all sat together, in that box. I will tell you that it’s so simple that it seems — I think people complicate it. It’s a matter of how many people can you speak to. Really, how many times can you really show the plan, which is your story, the company story, the comp plan, how do they pay us, how does it work. And everybody comes in for different reasons. I always make everybody feel very comfortable, I attempt to anyway, with the fact that they’re not interested in the business, fine, you don’t have to do that, that’s great. So they don’t feel pressured. I don’t know anybody. Great, don’t tell anybody. That’s — that’s just my approach.


I don’t sell it, if they want it, great. I believe we’re in the business of educating. And the more educated witness get by listening to calls like this and certain CDs or things that will educate us, we become better at explaining. But in the beginning, how does it work. You don’t have the information. Well, that’s where you use three ways. And then what happens is you start to, if you can record and script out and start to look at things and write things down, and as I teach my team every day, don’t just sit there passively listening. Sit there and understand you’re going to — if you’re in this from a business perspective and you’re looking for a way to build a dynasty, then you take it on like you’ve got to hear what I’m saying. Or what Herb’s teaching, or whoever’s teaching. Hear it from the perspective I’ve got to teach it. Because you know what, you’re going to have 10 people on your team, you’re going to have 20, you’re going to have 50, you’re going to 100, you’re going to have hundreds of people, thousands of people, start to paint the vision. We speak into them life and vision, as I always say, we call forth those things that are not as though they were. And the ability to speak out in faith, because until we believe it, we can’t see it. And it’s like the important thing is doing today what others won’t — so you can do tomorrow what others can’t.


Do today what others won’t, and we’ll be on the beaches of the world together, right, with people. We’ll be able to do tomorrow what others can’t do, because they’re not willing to get out of their own way, expand their own comfort circle, because we all have one. And this industry is the greatest personal development business there is. Because you’ve got to grow yourself to expand. And in the process you get paid while you’re doing that. So my answer to that I guess is real simple, show the plan, show the plan, and show the plan. Who can you get in front of, how fast can you do it, and I believe it’s much easier to build in this industry fast than it is slow.

I thank my coaching clients, they do have a name, Bruce and Christy [Inaudible] Chicago, I thank God every day that they ended up coming to our company, and yes you’re right, David, we did come in on very inside, inside crevice, and we had two full teams to build. And some people say you know what, you just went out and you had a following. No we didn’t. We weren’t in the industry. I threw out any lead we had. And I built it with just our next door neighbor, or I was coaching with my kid’s basketball team. And then there were results they had. My own mother lost 37 inches in two weeks at 84, went on to lose 30 pounds. These were the people we built it with. Ordinary people. We haven’t brought in one network [Inaudible] done anything. We certainly reached out to different people, but no one — we’ve done everything we’ve done just like you would do. And through building this one person at a time. So it’s taking it. And you know, it’s interesting because Robin said it too, and you mentioned Anthony Robins. It’s decided and then follows through. There’s not — the decision has to be made in advance. Too many times — you’re right, there’s so many excuses that people come up with and the bottom line, if people would treat this, instead of spending, you know, maybe they spend, they get some product on hand and they spend $500, if in your mind you don’t have to do that, we all know you can get involved for $39 and get the product for the same price we all get the product at, but imagine if you ordered for yourself and got it shipped to your house, $500 worth of product. But you were looking at this from a business. Imagine in your minds thinking — playing a trick on your self and saying you know, I spent $500,000. And treated it more like a big business. Where can you make this type of money and have the freedom, and have such fun being surrounded by people that you love to be surrounded by, because you choose — and not being so anxious for every person to be able to see what you see, because it really doesn’t matter. But there are people out there that want what we want, and those are the people we want to work with. And then not feeling like you have to take responsibility for people’s success, because I personal don’t. I don’t take responsibility for people’s success, nor do I take responsibility for people’s failures.


We’re there for people, and we offer support that’s unbelievable. We are absolutely there for our teams, we offer support and training. So for those people that really want it, it’s there. The company has this, they have so many calls available that people can plug into and learn. The [Inaudible] is constant, there’s so many different things that people can plug into and learn that kind of release yourself and be able to tell people, hey listen, I know you’ve got a full time job, you don’t have a lot of time doing this. Most people start something like this full time. But understand the support is in place. So as you share, as you start to transform your body and people ask you, or you open up your mouth and share, there’s a support system that people can be placed into, so you don’t have to feel that responsibility or you’re going into something. One last note, too, though, there is the whole element of be at the events, be on the calls, and be the leader that you would want others to follow. Because somebody said to me at Top Achievers, I hear you have a meeting in your house every week. I said yeah, yeah, we do. He goes that’s a big commitment. And I looked at him and said you bet it is. And people follow committed people. So Isagenix is like — I am Isagenix. When they say that on the tapes I am — this is my company. That’s how I look at it. So I get — it’s kind of a guard dog mentality. This is the company, we’re going to take this company, we’re going to guard it, we’re going to grow it, it’s like it’s our own — I challenge everybody to take it on like it’s your company.


>> That’s so great Patty. I think I am Isagenix, and this partnership, Jim and Kathy and the senior executive team, they have this saying if it’s not good for the field, it’s not good for Isagenix. You know, and I think we live — I know we live by it. Do we make mistakes? Absolutely. You want us to make mistakes. That’s how we grow and learn, you know, and here’s the thing. You shade something, you’re in a sauna right now. And I want to paint a picture. I’m in a car, I’m going to the airport, but I live up in British Columbia, and I’m driving across a hill right now overlooking the vineyards, there’s a lake a hundred miles long on a clear blue sky, here we are on this call together, each one of us in business. I’m absolutely in awe of this view, sharing a conversation with five people [Inaudible] I truly feel connected to and love for, and I feel like part of my extended family, and on a way to [Inaudible] Canada [Inaudible] but you just mentioned a little bit about personal development.
I do want to mention, you know, we do have a couple of events coming up. The enlightened training circle, the art of connection is a four day event, there’s one on the east coast, one on the west coast. Go back in the back office, they’re coming up. I think four or five, six weeks from now. And really, this is where you get to practice this stuff. And there’s no better place to coming to that environment. Anyone who has been to any one of our training programs gets to that event. And you know, it’s really about getting your story, and get out and practice and [Inaudible] and come back and you can reassess and go back out again. We actually use it. It’s one of the most remarkable programs. You know, learning the language, really putting yourself into action, even if you’re brand new, and realizing how much fun everyone who went through [Inaudible] circle arts connection, if you listened to the CD series, I’m telling you, you want to be at these programs. East coast, west coast, we’re doing it right across the country so there’s no excuse not to get there. I absolutely recommend that you get in your back office, plan your next event like Patty said. I’m going to hand over to [Inaudible], what an incredible call.


>> Wow, what an amazing call. I am in awe. And David, I mean, when you said earlier, I mean, this is just like anything that anybody would need to know if they were trying to make a decision if this was the right industry for them to jump into, if this was the right company for them to jump into. I know you guys have satisfied their questions. Some of the highlights — I don’t have, really, any questions, but some of the highlights I really — I really am taking with me from the call is Patty, when you said you just commit to things and then they just happen. You just plan is and then it just happens. And then Striker, letting people know that when they come in, you know, they might not have [Inaudible] belief in themselves, but to let them know that I want you just as you are, and we need you just as you are to join our team, I think is so powerful. Because that tells them that you are accepting them, you know, with their perfection and imperfections. And then Herb, too, with you saying that I’m not letting you quit that easily with the lady that, you know, sent you the text, and letting her know that [Inaudible] I’m not going to let you quit on me that easy, I’m here for you.


That is a huge, huge thing. I mean, the list goes on. The story that Bill shared with you, Herb, about Reggie White. That was so empowering to all of us because it creates urgency on how many people are really looking and praying for what we have. And just the thought of procrastinating and not sharing it with them, and possibly that window of opportunity closing. Just everything — you guys have been so amazing, and I think the one thing that I get from you, Robin, is persistence, never give up. I mean, taking the time with your parents and sitting them down and drilling them for three hours. I mean, you were not willing to accept no because you know or at least knew what they didn’t at that time. And look at what they did. Making an extra, you know, six figure retirement bonus last year. And I know that will continue to grow. So I just — I love all of you, and I guess what we’ll do is David, is there anything else you want to say in closing?


>> Well, you know, just thank you. And I really do believe that Herb pointed out that the people on this call right now, the Roger Banister effect, is anything that has been — this is simply — there’s a new paradigm always coming. We haven’t even rubbed the surface, we haven’t scratched the surface of the possibility of this company. And the manage is in place, the products are in place, the teams are in place, the training is in place, you know, it’s all there. It’s all there right now. And the question I want you to think about right now, if you still haven’t made that decision because that’s what Patty said, make the decision and take action. The question is if you haven’t made the decision, then sit down and decide. And if you are having trouble with that decision just look into your life right now. Look into your bank balance, look into your savings account, look into your relationships with your friends, and look into your intimacy with your spouse or your partner. And ask yourself questions. Do you want more from life, because you can have anything that you can conceive, and you can believe — and you can have. And Isagenix is the vehicle for all of that. It is the answer. So the question is making the decision. Don’t go — don’t get distracted, don’t get off this call and go and do something, get off, sit down, make sure you made the decision, take action, and understand you’re part of a team. And anyone on this call, and anyone in this company will share with you the secrets of their success, they will share with you everything they learned.


There is no reason — you don’t have to do this alone. This is definitely an extended family. You know, but you need to make a decision and know why you want this. Make sure if [Inaudible] big enough the how is going to be easy. Your why has to be bigger than your obstacles. So you get really clear on that why, and then just take action. And then the miracle is in the action. Because the action will always give you feedback. And the feed back is either going to be this is working or it’s not. If it’s not working all you have to do is make an adjustment. And then go back into action. Have some more feed back. And here’s the thing, Jimmy Smith probably makes more calls in one hour than most people who are in this kind of halfway make in an entire month or an entire year. So the question is this. Kjersti Coté (pronounced KEER-stee KOH-tee) is the daughter of Isagenix Founder and Master Formulator, John Anderson. She has been an Isagenix member since the company began in March 2002.
